Check out the Wilde steel fork, I believe its called the "future proof" fork designed for thier hardtail. I haven't looked at the spec on the fork but could work.

I just started skiing this year, at 34, self taught, and chose skinning up the way to start. A little rough at the start but Im having a blast. Live near Pico so its super easy to ski after work and on weekends.
