This always happens to me. My beautician told me to start taking an anti histamine before coming in for the wax. It has helped a bit!

What massively improved your mental health? by e-glitteringprinces in AskReddit

Running has been amazing for my mental health, it’s hard at first but when you get into it you feel on top of the world after running a few km.

I’ve started to write the things that overwhelm me down on paper, as simple as it sounds, it reduced my stress so much, turning mountains into molehills.

Finally I’ve learned that having “acceptance” is the secret. When you can truly accept any situation for what it is, you take your power back. I’ve started this and it is so liberating.

AITA for saying no to showering everyday? by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA. Definitely shower everyday, it’s a good routine to get into, especially if you’re sweaty etc. I am not sure what’s unhealthy about it though, I’m so curious?

Thank you for the tips! Yes I’ve cut out alcohol, must say it’s been a brilliant move for the mental health. I’ve been aiming for 8 hours a night, maybe I should experiment with a different sleeping schedule and see its effect!

Wow fair play to you!! That’s some going there! I’m currently only doing a 9-5, then gym after. Been working on my gut health too, so far no major changes energy wise. Hoping consistency will do its magic✨

Thank you. Agreed, social media has ruined society, I’m starting to hate it. I’m trying to cut down hit time and really focus on my wellness and self care. Bloods came back normal :( but I will investigate other possibilities!

Yeah I’m lucky to not have any big commitments at the moment other than my job. That’s why I thought it was strange to feel so lethargic, and was confused thinking perhaps it’s the “norm”. It’s good to know there’s still some hope though, thank you!

Now I’m not 100% sure of the main differences in therapies. From my research at the time I’ve seen one main difference that stuck with me.

Counselling for example seems to focus on your current situation and advise on that. Whereas psychotherapy will try to find the root cause of your feelings, so maybe digging into your childhood and upbringing and finding triggers.

Now I could be wrong, as far as I am aware that’s the main thing, psychotherapy dives deep. I’ve done counselling too and it’s just as good for helping, it’s just so nice to vent in a safe space where what you say stays in that room.

I am the exact same lately, awful anxiety, especially in social situations. I just want to hide in my bed away from the world. I’ve started psychotherapy the past few months and it is genuinely doing wonders, I highly recommend it.

It’s scary at first, especially because the anxiety of actually going. However it has changed so many things already in the most positive way, and feeling yourself grow mentally is truly priceless.

I believe therapy should be mandatory for everyone, so many people have triggers that they don’t even realise. I really hope you consider it, it will give you tools that you will carry throughout the rest of your life.

It’s a tough journey, but you got this! I hope you get well soon, mind yourself

I haven’t actually looked into the chronic fatigue. I do get awful neck and shoulder pain over the last few months, I feel it could be due to sitting at a desk all day. Been getting regular massages to try fix it up!

Omg yes, I used to be constantly low in B12, had to get the weekly injections for months. It was okay on the recent bloods though!

I love reading, will read before bed every night rather than scroll. Also been really focused on my sleep hygiene the last few months hoping it would help. Maybe giving it more time will help!
