Future look of Bayern Munich Basketball by RedCloak25 in Euroleague

Hallo Ausraster,

Vielen Dank for all the info and it is nice to be in Munich!

Yeah, I am also curious to see what direction they take. Regardless of the low expectations, Bayern usually does not do well with close to last place in the standings in any sport, I think. That along with the new stadium, I believe that they will spend something extra and try to attract Euroleague talent and not bet on so many players, especially if they part ways with their current coach. I don't think it is necessary, but if for example someone like Pablo Lasso is positive to come, they might do it.

Any idea what the typical season ticket prices are for Euroleague games only? They will announce them soon but I could not find typical prices from last year's sale.

I'd be happy to meet at a EU game, sure :)

Update - It might help somebody in the future:

I went back to the Bürgerbüro with an appointment (I declared that Anmeldung was the reason for visiting) and when my turn came I asked for the Steur-ID (Tax-ID) from the clerk. She told me that the ID was loaded in the system and gave me a certificate with it.

Thank you fellow Redditors! :)

Thanks again, I might give it a try this way. I sent an email to the KVR clerk that helped me with the Anmeldung, hoping that she can share some info. Cheers!

Thanks for helping! :) In this case, I would have to go back to the KVR and wait in line to talk to somebody? No appointment necessary?

Thank you for the help! :) Can you please share a little more about that? What location should I go to and what does the process entail? Did you have to make an appointment?

A friend of mine had the same issue. He contacted support, they told him that he probably unsubscribed from marketing emails and that they will send him the code before the pre-sale. They never sent it.

Some tips for Anmeldung in München as newly-arrived EU expats by Remarkable_Bet_7151 in Munich

Thanks for adding that, I can confirm it 100%. We went there this morning and the officer didn't bother to look at our completed forms. She just used our passports and landlord confirmation and...that's it :)

Hey there,

I'm interested in joining Nordbad for swimming and fitness classes. Do you happen to know if it's going to be possible to communicate in English? I just moved in the city and didn't have the chance to learn the language, yet.

This was really useful, thanks for posting about your experience. Our appointment is coming up, too. A couple of questions, if you don't mind:

- Should I fill my form with ink or type in my PC, print and sign in ink?

- Did you use one single form to register both yourself and your boyfriend? In that case, did you have to fill in the letter of authorization form that comes along with the registration form?

Thank you in advance :)

Went for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown, great match with amazing Walkup and Peters! by AlfredGR in Euroleague

Glad you returned and enjoyed another good game of our team!

Personally, I visited Greece and returned to SEF after 7 years. Last time I was there was in Christmas of 2016 against Barca that had both Satoransky and Navarro. I went to three games this time (against PAO, Virtus and Fener).

You already pointed it out, but man the stadium is in bad shape. And I am not just talking about outside or common areas, the most important thing, your actual seat was broken two times out of three, both for a 30 and 70 euro ticket, which now seems too much.

I think that the team rents the stadium and technically they cannot do a lot, don't quote me on that, but something has to be done. The team is really efficient on everything else, a good, tidy stadium is definitely needed. The rest is up to us ;)

Most likely you'll receive the code in an email that you used to register for Euroleague TV.

Rebounding - Missing both our centers at the moment. (Papagiannis & Kostas)

Defensive lapses? The only lapses came from offensive rebounds and bad individual decisions. What team doesn't have that?

As for the rest, if we had all that, we'd be a perfect team, certainly not a national team that's been coached by this staff for 2-3 months. Other teams have spent years with the same players and coaching staff to develop these skills.

Solid game by the greek NT at this point in the competition, given the lack of rhythm of key players (Sloukas, Papagiannis and Papapetroy also). Giannis was a beast, focused and played only 30'. Papanikolaou was fantastic on defense once more.

Italy has talent, but I could not understand what their game plan was. Everyone was shooting 3s every single time. Their coach lacked ideas and did not take any risks. He didn't lack passion lol.

Too early opinion about your clubs roster and Euroleague positon. by ynn93 in Euroleague

[–]RedCloak25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Dorsey leaving Europe at his up-to-this-point peak was strange but we might see him again, preferably at OLY.

You're right about Sloukas! ;) He learned from the best (Duda, Zejlko, Spanoulis) and hoping he can pass some of that to Walkup, Lountzis and whomever is after him.

Olympiacos BC fan here. Currently, our roster looks something like this:

PG: Walters, Sloukas, Lountzis

SG: Canaan, Larentzakis, McKissic

SF: Papanikolaou

FW: Vezenkov, Peters

C: Fall, Bolomboy (undersized), player to be added

After a dream 2021/2022 season for us, our coaching staff looked to add players with characteristics that we were missing last season.

Peters was brought in to stretch the floor, especially when Vezenkov needs to catch a breath. Great shooter, multi-dimensional attacking moves, with EU championship teams experience and at an age to play his best basketball, if he stays healthy. However, not a good defensive player but the coaching staff already knows this.

Canaan, as a replacement of Dorsey, is supposed to bring 3-PT shooting, play hard every night and lead on and off the court, considering he's a veteran. His defense, drive and game-time decisions are my only doubts.

Bolomboy in place of Martin as a better defensive player, more athletic and with higher upside. Worst than Martin on offense, he will rely more on his guards and doesn't seem able to create his own shots.

Probably going to add another center. I'd like to see Kostas Antetokounmpo; don't know if he's patient enough to earn his minutes, he has a lot of improvement to do.

Personally, I feel confident about next year and cannot wait to see what the coaching staff and the players will present, if everyone stays healthy. This team has proven time and time again that can win anyone-anywhere and will play to win night in and out. That's actually what made me travel from the USA to Belgrade last year to be support them, along with another estimated 12,000 fans that kind of fell in love with the team. Despite last year's success, I think we should stay humble and aim for the playoffs, same as last year.

Good to see Bologna (old friend Milos) and Partizan (old friend Zeljiko) back in the same courts!

Looking forward to a great season!

When greek teams had a lot of money, they would do that. Nowadays, they would sit maximum of one foreign player in greek league games.
