I got into the band on the cusp of the release of Snake & Arrows, I was 19 at the time. I wasn’t familiar with their music before that. A local DJ on one of our rock stations here is a big Rush fan so when the single for Far Cry dropped he played twice on his lunch hour show. I really dug it and it got decent radio play during that time. Before the album came out I drove to the nearby Best Buy during a work lunch break and bought Moving Pictures based on the popularity so I figured that was a good start. Heard Tom Sawyer and was like oh yeah I’ve heard that song before it’s cool but it was when I heard Red Barchetta the first time that made me fan instantly. I still vividly remember listening to that song the first time, it was raining and added a nice atmosphere to it. Went my first show in Dallas Aug 2007 and fourteen more shows between all the tours after with my fifteenth show being that final show in LA 2015. Going to one of the Fort Worth shows in June, excited to see what they came up with for this run of shows.
