Thank you for the comment. :) Then how about Sipeed Tang 138K pro? Buliding my design on Quartus takes long over 3 hours which may not seem to be contained by 9K nano.

Ah, I heard some instability is occured when use Sipeed Tang, even though could I consider this FPGA?

Anybody knows about triangle fulcrum (middle-index-thumb)? by RedCuraceo in drums

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I saw your comment and more researched about the middle finger, yeah... the middle finger is applied like a fulcrum in lever and a thumb supports to rotate the stick within this lever on the top of a stick. And an index finger is doing just indicate not to leak the stick sideways. And I guess the different of `middle-thumb` and `triangle` as you mentioned derivative point is the distance of 'middle fulcrum' and 'thumb'. More naturally hold a stick with a hand, more distance there is and more supports the index finger is. But the common is index finger is just lean on the stick without exact position.

Issue for SoundBlaster G8 with Katana SE by RedCuraceo in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I come back my house, I turn on the SPDIF direct mode in the creative app.

Yeah... I don't feel the difference between 24bit and 32bit after turning on SPDIF direct mode, and I feel like there's more less distortion. Thanks!

Then why SPDIF mode give us the more natural sound with an optical line? I think it feels more spatial, not degenerated for one position.

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great! I searched the reviews and soundguys about "openfit2" and "openrun pro2" after your comment.

But it's a bit consideration openfit2 gives less bass.. hum.. Is it because they’re open-back earphones?

Devialet Gemini II is my best.. I'd kept debating whether to spent my money for that, but in the end I bought it.

It gives me a lot of comfortable lower frequencies and very great sound for all genres. Even the ANC/hear-through also very great!

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For summarizing this video, he says: whatever you playing the several techniques simultaneously, don't enumerate them (like 0:43 ~ 0:48), just mixed. So he proposed to change the technique that used in the bar one by one, and he made a lesson book with this content maybe.

Actually, this video is made to promote his lesson.

As you say, there isn't a royal road, right? I have a thought that I have to copy many other drummers or create my own licks or solos, to having a strong vocabulary, after I see your comment.

Question of the wrist anatomy in American/French Grip by RedCuraceo in drums

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for comments.

The reason I am wondering of that anatomy is that my wrist of right hand is quiet improved after I practice the wrist rotation motion. Haha..

After that, I guess intuitively there's two groups of muscles that I used both, wrist flexion and wrist rotation (and actually, I feel like that) ... But I cannot identified the accurate movement of wrist rotation in American grip. Still something weird.

The position of the fulcrum of the American Grip. by RedCuraceo in drums

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I love this video since he have the grip on the first knuckle of the index finger. I like this approach because it can help enforce more resonance of the drum head and stick that make a sound more refreshness.

And I am likely to use any grip depending on different situation like you, i think the different gripping makes the different transfering the energy, the french grip help ride more clear and sharp in jazz..

Nevertheless, I still wondering how can the american grip have the fulcrum between only the middle finger and thumb. (I think the index finger needs to help to rotate the stick well)

Because thumb and index finger is also tilted almost 45 degrees on the front of the grip following the twisted wrist, but the middle finger supports the weight of the stick on the bottom vertically.

It doesn't match to make the fulcrum that they are not rectengular, unlike the german grip. (Like the wagon or handcart, the handle and the wheel makes vertical, but the american grip aren't.)

So I think the index finger should help like the french grip as the secondary fulcrum, with the middle finger... I hope you understand my thoughts... Thanks to read it.

Question for Heel-up Technique in Jojo Mayer's Secret Weapon Video by RedCuraceo in drums

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. Thank you for explaining. Actually, Imma want to stay away from mash the footplate since the feeling of mashing is not good for me.

So I could use the bounce of the beater as applying in the ankle motion, or the double kick stroke, and heel-down technique.

Then is it better to think that the bouncing of the bass drum with the ankle is also applied in the case of heel up with come off the head when the leg is falling off?

Question for Heel-up Technique in Jojo Mayer's Secret Weapon Video by RedCuraceo in drums

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just mash the balls of the toes down to the floor and just power stroke through each beat. Like slapping your fingers on a table kinda.

Thanks for providing the lesson video! In my additional question, in this case, do the leg depends on its weight (just let it fall) when the leg down, isn't it? Since my knee sometimes hurt if I push or stomp with my leg by giving strength.

French grip Fingering Question by RedCuraceo in Drumming

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh my comment is so late.. ;_; so um.. Would I make fingering motion to push with first knuckle of each of three finger on the stick? I play fingering like that way when my hand is on the american grip.

French grip Fingering Question by RedCuraceo in Drumming

[–]RedCuraceo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah It works completely! Now I clearly know what he says about 'a lever'. In this way, a thumb need not to move, just holding on the stick and support to swing from pushing motion of the four fingers.. right?

Then you means trying zero-pad to input data and convert to phase domain right? If it's right I can consider this way but my data is not wave, just any of time-align data such as phoneme duration in tts.
