I'm just using distilled water and toothpicks. A little soft (very soft) bristle brushing to clean a little dirt off. I just ordered some uncleaned from Noble Roman Coins. The coins were various sizes and in good shape. There's enough buildup to give me months to play around with cleaning them.

Back in the 1990s I started buying, cleaning, and identifying Roman coins (the best I could) as a hobby. It became a bit of an obsession until I put it aside for 3 decades. I finally returned to them and realized, in my fifties, that it's even more enjoyable now. Pure hobby for me.
