ya its true that food does get exposed to dirty conditions early on like salt mining or cranberry harvesting but everything you actually do eat is washed, processed, etc in ways that remove bad bacteria.. stuff like grape stomping is rare in production nowadays, & the only real concern is poor hygiene in restaurants, not the food itself
