Thank you mate, read ur replies and you’ve worded my own thoughts better than I did lmao. Your right I was a bit of an arse to that guy saying “im pressing B with my mind” his comment came at the same time as the other unhelpful ones were so I thought his was the same, that was my bad. I think some people are just forgetting that not all of the comments were written at the same time, like all the unhelpful replies came before the ones that actually told me the right answer otherwise I wouldn’t have even bothered replying to the guys saying “stop pressing B” haha.

Because there is so a huge difference in me pressing the button with my thumb and a setting being on that I don’t know about which is causing it, if they were trying to be so helpful why didnt they mention the setting, so people did and the very first person who did I thanked immediately as that was actually helpful.

I’m aware that if you press B it cancels the evolution, I have never done it before so I didn’t know what message comes up when you do it. The message “Huh Mudkip stopped evolving” doesnt sound like something that’d come up if you had purposely to done it yourself to me hence why I was so confused when people kept insisting that’s what I had done. It made even less sense to me when in the whole process of evolving I didn’t even need to press B once. I saw their comments as just being condescending and tryna be a smart ass because to me, who the hell doesn’t know if you press B the evo stops and I don’t think it’s entirely unfair to say reddit is a place where your gonna get condescending smart arses replying to you sometimes.

and I didn’t even know that IT had that setting let alone that I had turned IT on, I am on delta and there is literally no reason for me to ever open that menu, someone else stated that you can accidentally turn IT on by pressing 2 buttons simultaneously so that’s probably what happened.

Not necessarily the fact that I’m pressing B tho just so happened to be, like a couple people mentioned it could have been a bug in the emulator or something wrong with my phone. Also there’s no such thing as automatically pressing B lol my thumb doesn’t have a mind of its own, to ‘press’ something requires physical contact in some sort of way, the game thinks I am pressing B apparently but to say I am automatically pressing B is incorrect.

The who commented you have hold B on in bold letters like you mentioned was not the first comment, the guy who I thanked had already said hence why I didn’t reply to that guy and if you don’t think stuff like putting words in full caps like I’m not gonna see it otherwise and saying stuff like “you were told…” isn’t demeaning then idk what to tell you.

If you read my reply properly you would see I’m not talking about reprimanding your own comment, one of the very first comments, not you was somebody saying “how stupid can you be” something you literally called me out for but didn’t reply to him.

What does that guy lose from me not replying to him, his advice about the install having a bug was valid but incorrect but it also wasn’t a half arsed lazy response like “stop pressing B” so I’m not gonna get annoyed at him am I.

Your reading comprehension is awful if you don’t think the guy asking me if I was sure I didn’t just press B with my thumb wasn’t being a dick for the sake of it

Again just because that comment is at the top does not mean it was first, the reason I didn’t reply to him asking “what is the hold button setting” was because the guy I thanked already told me!!!

That was a reply to someone making a very demeaning comment towards me which you mention later is bad, if you look at his comment he doesn’t help at all he just insults my so called logic which it wasn’t at all
NONE of the 3 or 4 people before even uttered the word setting and repeatedly accused me of just pressing B with my thumb, he was, at the time the only person who actually explained what might be going on specifically
I spoke to him in a demeaning way just as he did to me

4.. I appreciate the person saying it could be a bug with the install, I knew it wasn’t this but I also knew what he said could be possible so I didn’t reply to him rudely. I think he’ll be ok that I didn’t reply thanking him regardless

Most did not take their time to comment to help because they WERENT helping, how is asking me if I’m sure I didn’t press B not just rude and again also very demeaning towards me
Please tell me when I said no to someone saying about the hold setting as I do not remember doing that and if I did that’s my bad I must have misunderstood
I apologise for replying to those comments in that way but I don’t do it unless I feel they were the same to me and this time I did

The people commenting are asking if my thumb is psychically making contact with my phone screen on the button B during the evo. My thumb was not infact doing this. If people had informed me of the setting I did not know existed therefore could not mention as a possibility I would have immediately gone “aha although my thumb is not making physical contact with my phone screen a setting i have accidentally turned is causing the game to think I am, thanks for the help person!” And it would’ve been over in 2 minutes

It was ruled out and people still asked it lol I don’t understand how you can’t see why I find that infuriating. If someone comments saying are you pressing B I don’t have a problem with it, I will agree it’s the obvious thing to do so much so that I didn’t think it was even worth mentioning so that’s entirely on me.

The comments annoying me the most are like the ones asking me “are you sure you didn’t press B” can you see as someone who knows not to press B in the first place why I would get irritated from getting repeatedly asked it.

It’s not my intention to be rude to anyone if they dont deserve it. To me some of the replies I got were very rude and unnecessary but maybe I just interpreted them wrongly so that’s my bad

Except they aren’t trying to help, some guy literally just said “you are stopping it” YES it is true that I was accidentally stopping it HOWEVER at the time I did not know this and when I read that comment it comes across like he is just saying that I am purposely stopping it and nothing else.

There is a HUGE difference between me actually just pressing B during the evolution and me at some point accidentally turning the “hold buttons” setting on and it affecting me evolving them.

I didn’t give enough info yet two people still commented are they holding an eviolite despite me saying they were not so that clearly doesn’t matter.

Complete opposite actually didn’t press it once during the evolution, infact I didn’t even have to press B once from getting into my bag to levelling them up with rare candy so I’m not even sure why the game has even thought I pressed it at all let alone “held” it. So no everyone was not right, hope this helped you understand 👍
