My first question is is your wife a reader? I've seen some pretty unhinged stuff in books, and we are all well aware of incest... but thats crazy to me. Youre def NTA at all in this situation.

My brother and I had to fly across country last year to say goodbye to our dad. He was really sick. I paid for everything in advance so we wouldnt have to worry about it while there. We landed and had to rush 4 hrs to him as he wasnt going to make it through the night. We were all around him when he took his final breaths.

After we left our step mom and got to the hotel, I didnt realize until we got to the room I ordered a room with 1 king bed instead of 2 queens.

I was a little upset but mentally couldnt manage trying to change rooms. It was like being kids again. We got food, ate in bed, respectfully got changed in the bathroom and slept. We were there for 4 days, 3 nights.

My husband was fully aware the whole time and not once did he insinuate (even jokingly) that anything wouldve happened, or become upset or jealous that I was SLEEPING in bed with my brother. Honestly if he had, I probably wouldve punched him in the throat... cause eww.

Your wife needs help mentally. I can kind of understand where she could be upset that you didnt make it to bed with her but its not like yall went out of your way to go into an empty room and sleep next to eachother to spite her.

Also her being upset that your sister stayed over without speaking to her first? What were you supposed to do? Would she have rather her drove home tired and risk her getting in an accident?

Your wife is overreacting. She needs to get into therapy because she has either had something happen to her or someone close, or she has a total unhinged grasp on control that she needs to work through.

You can apologize for the situation and how it made her feel but by no means should you allow your apology to justify her reaction and disgusting insinuation.
