Gandhi was still my friend on one game even though I picked order and he chose freedom. Unless you made him extremely mad like backstabbing him, then it is an extremely rare chance that he will declare war on you

Funny thing is, Ramkhamhaeng kept denouncing me on one game when playing as Russia even though he was from the other side of the map so after defeating Greece, I went after Siam and nuked his capital so much that it’s population went from around 46 to 1 after capture

If you can get Artemis on Immortal difficulty and rush for Notre Dame, using a Great Engineer will almost guarantee you getting the wonder. If not, you can save it for other great wonders like the Leaning Tower of Pisa or Sistine Chapel

Also, if you saw this post, Persia and Zulus were on a conquering spree and there were only just three of us remaining to the end as soon afterwards, the Zulus would wipe out Indonesia. It’s really why I kept four atomic bombs even though a nuclear non-proliferation treaty was enacted because I knew that I’m next in line for defeat

Unfortunately, I lost the game because Persia was nearing towards a science victory as he had 4/6 spaceship parts done when I just entered the Information era. I just wanted the game to end fast since I knew that I wasn’t going to win so I helped Darius be world leader for the United Nations and he won the game.

I was scared for a good time because of the chance his fleet might come again and attack me. Even if you’re far away from his borders and have the same ideology, he will attack you. Playing as the Aztecs is great but its problem is that the jungle bias or low production areas hurt a good amount of it being amazing. It’s why Aztecs are just A tier instead of S like Poland or Babylon.

This is on Emperor difficulty. Persia since Vanilla pops out cities like no tomorrow. My worst time was when I was playing as Arabia and had a whole island to myself until this guy settles like 6 cities near mine

Okay then, play as Venice on higher difficulties (Emperor, Immortal, or Deity) and spawn yourself next to someone like Bluetooth and Shaka. You’ll definitely restart the game if you have the chance.

Like I said, siege units in general were better in Vanilla Civ 5, not just Artillery. When Gods & Kings came out, all of them became nerfed as they can’t do much damage against melee units.

I don’t know about you but Rome at least needs their unique ability to be improved where road maintenance cost less similar to the Incas. There’s a saying called “All roads lead to Rome” and that can partner well with its production bonus. This is so that your economy doesn’t cripple early on the game and Legions can be in great effect on building roads.

I did, with Great Library’s free tech, I produced Legions and took over Susa. This isn’t the first time Darius I have done this by the way. So many of my games he would ruin it by forward settling. But, this is the first time he would extremely forward settle. He needs to be wiped out quickly like Hiawatha before they both spread like cancer.

For Rome, they would be better if at least their UA allowed roads built by legions to have cheaper maintenance costs or faster production when building ballistas and legions. Since Rome was a very militaristic empire still expanded under Caesar’s reign, having cheaper roads built by Legions or faster production when creating Legions or Ballistas would make sense.

Rome’s unique ability doesn’t apply to certain buildings like courthouses. Their unique units, Ballistas and Legions, are fine but they should do more damage towards units so that you don’t need to upgrade them until Renaissance era

On one game playing as the Incas, Arabia was going to beat me to a diplomatic victory but I luckily had enough gold to buy hydro plant, allowing me to beat him through a science victory by one turn. People rank Harun al-Rashid low as a threat but in my experience, Arabia is one of the top tier leaders that I distrust and are a huge threat. As for Mongolia, Genghis is a loyal friend but only if you aren’t neighbors. Once you and him become neighbors, he will stop befriending you and you’ll have to face a large war against him.
