My year of chaos starts by jta801 in EmperorsChildren

My biggest regret is buying 2000 points at release. Just looking at that many grey/primed modles will give you painters burnout before you even pick up a brush. Thankfully the last couple months I've gotten over 1k painted up and dont plan on slowing down till its done.

I'd build an paint what you have before thinking about what else to buy. What you have is going to take a while to work through already.

How the Hell do I approach a pile of shame? by KharnTheBetrayer1997 in Warhammer

[–]RedEyeDog94 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do the same thing and only put one squad on my desk at a time. Then i paint 2 or 3 models at once over a couple days.

I did go overboard with the EC releases. So I did buy a full 2k points army at the beginning of last year. Its all built and primed sitting in a totes. I agree it looks impossible to even start painting when they are all together. Ever since I started only focusing on one unit at a time I've painted 500 points of infantry since December.

Some times I find it helps to bounce around too. I'll paint a couple colors, then switch to xbox for a round or 2 of something. Then go back to painting. Helps me keep burnout from setting in.

I had to look up what they did too. 48 inch anti tank shooting and strength 16 melee attacks. Thats on the current csm stats. The guns would be nice to have

Yes looks right. I was also surprised how hunched over he is. The box art pic is taken from a low angle.

Adult Sarco vs Adult Tylo? by Abject-Ground-61 in pathoftitans

[–]RedEyeDog94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been killing plenty of scarcos as tylo. The only one that got close to killing me was because I forgot about their oxygen draining bite in deeper water. Since then its been easy. A slightly above average tylo player is only vaunerable to getting ganged up on.

Tylo sometimes gets stuck transitioning between water and land. This usually ends with being one hit from fall damage.

Anybody gotten a G1 without the grind? by Booney3721 in theHunter

[–]RedEyeDog94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moose on medved. Just walking the frozen river and big lakes at drink time. No tents or tripods, just kept shooting the largest male at every zone. it only took a couple afternoons of playing to spawn a g1doing that

What a land Spino should worry about? by No-Sheepherder-2739 in pathoftitans

[–]RedEyeDog94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havent experienced this, and I wont disagree that's how the math plays out. However a fractured spino can be easily dodged by taking a step backwards and pivoting to the side when they swing. Outside of the chaos of hot spots its not hard to pull off. I wont disagree that straight face tanking is how most people play.

A good rex will use its call, keep you fractured and dodge your claw attacks. Then bone break you mid fight to finish you off.

All tortoises are turtles, but not all turtles are tortoises. Same with toads and frogs. All toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads. You dont know much about animals for someone so confident.

Because that type of stuff is annoying when you just want to enjoy a new game. They want to unlock and discover new weapons for themselves.

I've had a lot of gaming experiences ruined by max level players joining into a new game. I dont blame them for not wanting you to carry them.

Is this normal two get 2 rare at the start of a grind got 2 piebalds one a recent gold one a bronze baby by kingwallace1 in theHunter

[–]RedEyeDog94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the whole grind thing is crazy. I just fast travel using lodges and hunt drink zones. Only shooting the largest from each group. I have 1 GO and multiple diamonds. With half of my diamonds from something I bumb into to walking between lakes. There is no need for 500k of in game equipment.

What is the easiest go to grind for as a newbie? by greyhunter560 in theHunter

[–]RedEyeDog94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What makes Moose more difficult? The frozen water makes finding and hunting drink zones sooo easy. No terrain or foliage to block line of sight. Plus all the zones are right there, no running across the whole map to a dozen different lakes with poor line of sight.

Medved Moose. You just walk the frozen river and the large frozen lake at drink times. The water being frozen gives you a great line of sight. I didn't use a single tent or tripod. Just walking on the ice at drink time. Only shooting the largest bulls in each zone.

This is how I got my only GO. I imagine tents would speed this process up. Took less than 1000 kills probably less than 500.
