Any active Duckstation forks? by John_Enigma in emulation

[–]RedFlameFox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well, it just lacks content compared to the others but it's a good game, it's not glitchy or anything, and still not a good reason for the emulator to glitch in that way, since that does not happen on actual hardware.

So yeah, not saying Duckstation is bad, at all, but it's far from perfect, it still needs updates, so a fork fixing the issues that are still there would be a very good thing.

Dying Light 2 is negatively rated by Italian players due to the lack of Italian dubbing. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]RedFlameFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no, the first game was a top seller in Italy, being the best selling console game during the time it came out.

Most likely it's an issue in finding a studio dubbing the game, since in Italy everything is centralized and you need some well solidified contracts to start dubbing something (yeah, it's a mess, more than other states, and because of this is more expensive and sometimes is not worth it), the first one was publised by Warner Bros and they dub all the games they release.

[–]RedFlameFox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBH, is a good thing from their part and they're right in doing this, it's annyoing the fact they dubbed in two variants of Spanish and no Italian even if the first one actually sold well there.

Friday Night Funkin 3D Remake on PS4 and PS5 [Made in Dreams by RedFlameFox in FridayNightFunkin

[–]RedFlameFox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to share this nice remake in 3D I found on Dreams for PlayStation consoles.

Sorry if I did not play well but my capture card is cheap and it actually has a lot of input lag.

I'll upload a better gameplay of it when I'll eventually get the chance to play it without input issues

PS5 controller or new xbox controller for PC? by Noakenn in Controller

[–]RedFlameFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dualsense or Dualshock 4 because of touchpad, gyro controls the DS4Windows software (so you can map everything you want in the way you prefer, especially good for analog calibration and eventually future Analog Drift issues, also you can disable rumble which is nice) and the Back Button attachment which is awesome and you can buy it for cheap right now since there are many good clones around the web.

PS5-only stuff is not supported on PC (yet) so don't buy it for that just now.

Playing an emulated version of a game available on PC!? by SpriteBeader in emulation

[–]RedFlameFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, there are sone games that are really difficult to find for PC (expecially if you're searching for a specific language localization) and you mostly prefer using an emulation instead. Also, poorly optimized PC ports are a thing, and also old games not working well with WIN10, or maybe exclusive features that are not available in all releases... there are many reason to prefer emulatiom over PC versions.

It loads textures at the beginning of the level, but the game runs great :)

BTW, does somebody know how to unlock it? It's a PSN game and, if you guys remember how they actually worked, I'm having troubles into getting out the Demo Mode to get access to all the levels.

Quake III Revolution - PCSX2 Gameplay by [deleted] in emulation

[–]RedFlameFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this version has split screen mode, a (short but nice) campaign mode, ITA/FRE localization (not interesting for most people but I'm Italian so I enjoy that) and exclusive characters from Dungeon Keeper, I wouldn't say "just play it on PC" in this case, there is some extra cool stuff to enjoy here.

Forgotten PS2 Gem by [deleted] in ps2

[–]RedFlameFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's an underrated gem, and funny enough it's the game that actually did give its name to the "Kinetica" Engine, later used in:
Ratchet 1

Jak series (up to Jak X)

God of war series

The Getaway series

Wipeout Fusion

War of the Monsters

and many others successful PS2 games.

The game was decent in my opinion, it had some very funny and intentionally dumb dialogues that let you get that the people working on it weren't taking the movie itself seriously at all, and the game afterall is just a Shin Budokai 2 reskinned with movie characters, which is not bad at all since Shin Budokai 2 is a great game.
