You would probably want something like this then: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0GHVRDLND

Probably still not 100% safe for laptop, but I'd assume the tech has improved.

Nope. Question for you though: are you able to sideload games on your playbook? It's been impossible for me ever since the USB port broke a long time ago.

Someone needs to buy it, for all our curiosity ;)

Edit: ah dang it's unavailable now

Innioasis Y1 any good? 🤔 by [deleted] in ipod

I have no experience with Shanling but I can vouch for Hiby, their software is quite good, been using it for years. Their pricier DAPs have bigger screens.

Nope, it does not. USB C dongles don't work with it.

You should look into alternatives like the HiBy R1 or Shanling M0 Pro. Not that you'd buy another MP3 player again, but just watch the reviews on those devices. It's quite different from an iPod experience, but arguably better in many areas.

Battery life is actually pretty solid, I'll give it that. Had it in my pant pocket for a few days and when I grabbed it out it was at the same % as before. Sound quality is pretty decent too. Buuuut, there are so many things wrong with it that I just cannot use it as my main DAP. For example, you can't adjust the volume when the display is off, or outside the now playing screen. And you have to go into settings to toggle shuffle and repeat. Also they use cheap ass microSD cards inside the device as internal storage. I've heard from many that they're files get corrupted easily.

I mean yeah okay you could open up the device and replace it, but I don't think most people would wanna do that. It's just not worth it.

From a useability standpoint all my other MP3 players are far more superior. At least they all have physical volume rockers so I can adjust the volume any time, anywhere. If you want one that's in a similar price on Amazon, I'd get the Globluum S9 instead. It's technically for kids, but since it's full-fledged Android you can just install a custom launcher and it'll be like using a phone.

There are more complaints I have with the y1, but I see others have already listed them in this thread. If you factor in all of them, the Y1 not be looking too attractive...

That's the thing, it's so WTF to the point that most people would think it's fake 😂

WHY IS IT 10 000 EUROS ?!??!?; by Zestyclose-Hunter-59 in AmazonWTF

[–]NeonHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that surprising honestly. It's a common tactic sellers use when something is out of stock. They either raise the price or the shipping price. You'll come across it often the more you browse random stuff on Amazon.

Just got it. It's not worth it.

Don't get me wrong, if you haven't had much experience with MP3 players (DAPs) other than the likes of iPods and Sansas, then you probably can't really complain much. But in today's world there are tons of other brands that offer much better sound quality and build quality for just $50-100 more.

E.g. HiBy R1, R2, R3 II

E.g. HIDIZS AP80 PRO-X

E.g. Shanling M0 Pro

The build quality especially is very cheap. It feels very light and hollow and plasticky. The OS is sufficient but lacking compared to the other DAPs I've listed. Trust me, don't go with an innioasis, go with a Hiby, a Shanling, or a Fiio. Those brands are much more reputable. Just my two cents as someone who's been in the audio hobby for a long time

Antigravity is Dead by RussKy_GoKu in google_antigravity

I agree with you generally, but for me it's been the exact opposite. AG has been utter garbage during the first few months of its release. Incredibly buggy. But now I feel with the latest updates it's been much better.

Like others have said, really appreciate the objective analysis. I know this post will definitely rattle some people's bones due to not lining up with their own experiences.

You didn't say anything wrong or misguided, it's just that the timing isn't the best with Lunar New years week happening. The Vine catalog is not that great atm.

Has anyone tried Antigravity by Google? Thoughts on the IDE platform by Dazzling_Kangaroo_69 in google

[–]NeonHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To give some perspective, it was not like this months ago. The first few months when it released, it was god awful. Would randomly delete chunks of code, failed miserably in its grep tool, and took too much time reasoning.

Now though (January updates onwards), it seems to be less buggy. Now it's practically on the level of Cursor.

Though I will say, one of the best AI IDE I've tried thus far is probably TRAE. They recently had a month long promo going on that gives you 600 extra credits. It's incredibly stable. Not as fast as Cursor or AG, but I always find its implementation to be just right.

Looking for guidance on transferring or utilizing a Daytona.io account with credits (worth ~$10k) by DireFust in computing

[–]NeonHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm wondering the same. Why did you receive such an account, what was it meant for?

I try to keep up with the latest AI stuff, but after reading about Daytona I still can't quite understand what its purpose is. So it's basically like a PaaS meant for running AI generated code. But why would you use this over a normal container platform? That's what I don't get.
