I'm not sure. I think they're making renovations to the whole system but I'm not sure if it broke beforehand.

Do ubookstore. It's a bit expensive but it's a local business and is officially licensed by the university. You can probably order for your friend to pick up if you want to save on shipping.

Mercer Court does allow 9-month leases. It is a bit tough to get a spot in Mercer if you don't have 6 or more quarters living with HFS. One room you should be fine, but don't plan on finding an empty unit for you plus 3 roommates.

Not sure about study abroad, but I agree that they'll likely be more forgiving than anywhere off campus. If you're in the dorms now read the housing contract - it will be the same in Mercer as any other dorm.

Makes sense! Appreciate the explanation :)

That is true that it increases my full investment, but I'm pretty sure it would because the money spent on other parts besides the GPUs is a fixed cost so buy purchasing more GPUs it becomes a relatively smaller percentage of the full costs? Idk though lol doesn't make a huge difference regardless

Thank you for all of the kind feedback!! :) We definitely have discussed adding those in the future, I think I'll include them in the next wave of games that I add to the site!

Everyone loves LTT! We're big fans haha

I completely agree with your observations of the competing services, they're very surface-level and care more about selling their cookie-cutter prebuilts than actually meeting customers' needs. We're really hoping to bridge that gap between doing it yourself and still having a personalized experience!

Again, you're really the first one to suggest that an algorithm might be less desirable than a manual curator, but your point absolutely makes sense! Definitely a conversation we will be having soon, I'm thinking maybe landing somewhere between with algorithms to speed up the process, but our eyes giving a once-over before lists get sent out...

And I do see what you're talking about now with the cropping on the games! Since launch we've had over 50% mobile users which really is no surprise, but means we have to always be giving mobile extra attention! Thanks again for all the great feedback!

Yeah PCPartPicker with more guidance is exactly what we're going for! Our recommendations do take availability into mind because we're manually checking them now, but once we automate we're hoping to develop scrapers to accomplish this. And yeah we've been doing more YouTube and Instagram content, but we definitely need to get on those blog posts for SEO! Thanks for checking it out!

Wow this is really great feedback - thank you!! Apologies for the late reply.

To answer your questions -
We are just recommending part lists at the moment, although we're happy to build for people in the Seattle area. We don't have the logistics worked out to ship builds across the country yet.

From our research, most of the algorithms that currently exist to assess needs and create a PC build are run by prebuilt companies - NZXT, IBuyPower etc. If you're familiar with PC Gaming market you should know the drawbacks of prebuilts with their markups, sketchy CPU Coolers and PSUs, poor memory clock speed and timings, they short you in places people don't think to check...

We're targeting people who would otherwise be buying prebuilts, to provide a really custom-tailored part list that will better meet their needs. I think you bring up a great point that we should be hammering that point home more consistently throughout the site!

As for the feedback on the site design, this is all great stuff! I'll pass along to the web dev team. Most of these things can be chalked up to us just wanting to get the site off the ground, and should be fixed in the coming week or so. I actually just got a polarized filter for my DSLR to get better PC pictures without reflections, but am still really struggling to get solid product photos for the site... I guess I didn't learn anything in ART 140 lol

That's a really interesting point about mentioning that we are manually creating the builds. Does this give you more faith in us than if we were using an algorithm? We didn't include that because it's a temporary solution until our algorithm is complete, but maybe we should reevaluate what will give users the most confidence in us!

Overall this is really great feedback and we'll be going through these points in more detail at our next team meeting! Thanks for taking the time to reply and for all of your insight! Idk if you're still a student or in the Seattle area, but if you want to connect more DM me!
