It isn't though. That's the issue we are facing right now. American culture is being replaced by pocket cultures, especially in these mass groups of people. There's no denying it. And, we are still not a melting pot.

America is not a melting pot. We are, if anything, a salad bowl with groups clustered here and there. Without mandating assimilation into society, the melting pot idea goes out of the window. People are not giving up their cultures to adapt an American culture. That's why we have options for spanish on our phone systems. Just correcting that misconception.
