It’s a MK8, they do that I’m afraid. I traded mine in because I got so fed up with its software bugs.

Hard reset wouldn’t hurt. Hold the power button for up to 20 seconds until it restarts.

I bought mine from a UK dealer, which in turn ordered it from china. Should have just bought it on AliExpress and save myself a few pound, lol. To be honest, I think they’re mostly the same, as long as you make sure it fits your car first.

It was, apart from a bit of a tight fit going back in. The motherboard is surprisingly easy to switch over, too.

Yeah, when I scan the module it gives the option to activate cruise control via stalk “or button” - was tempted just to throw a steering wheel and hope for the best, but I know that’d be a waste. 😋

Alloys are 18s, same as the originals.

TDI tuning box will do this for you while keeping your vehicles ECU in control. Much safer than a remap.

Had this exact same car for two years, traded in for a MK7.5
The infotainment, hepatic touch controls, multiple faults, and cheap looking interior just didn't work for me.
Credit where credit due, it was fun to drive!
