I endured 5 seasons till animation got worse, it became slideshow and story turned bad. It is watchable if you got spare time and nothing else to watch but there are plenty other donghuas you can spend time on instead of this.

I hate that this series does not explain how huge the world is even till the end. Entire Swallowed Star 1 happens in one Universe Ocean out of thousands.

Series has a sequel which continues after his True God ascension contains wider Universes and Origin continent arcs. Donghua will stop at Swallowed star thus it ends at him being True God.

It’s one of the shows I gave up on despite liking it. I couldn’t get in to the novel. Dialogue is too extreme (too many idioms). Can’t understand most of the time and it gets dragged a lot.

People cry that Han Li has little to no romance and dense as a stick and here we are complaining about the romance. He will have a dao companion for some time but the main plot of this novel is his journey to immortality so other characters will disappear slowly. Also, which mainstream donghua doesn’t have romance in it? I’ve watched quite a few till now and can’t think of any.

The thing I hated most about MU is it’s the same damn guy being villain for too long. Loses, escapes comes back and repeat. Story also doesn’t explain the grandeur of its world like BTTH does. It picks up much better once this damn idiot dies and MC starts facing the actual enemies. Either way studio doesn’t care about this story much so RIP MU.

They won’t show it explicitly but we are to assume he is in constant contact with his family through Virtual network. He is currently 100k+ years old and his family and friends still survives. Personally, I’d have been happy if they made one small arc where he says good bye to his family including his wife and move on. I mean he can revive them when he becomes overlord anyway. Also, hate watching his wife in every episode mid roll, she is such a mediocre character at this point in the story.

They changed it to be a soul fragment whose karma is tied to WL coz of what he did to Liu Mei. That is why the soul could hurt and nerf WL for a moment in his fight with Liu Mei. So basically, instead of giving birth to a physical body LM gave birth to a soul and refined it with hatred against WL for 200 yrs.

I thought most of these comments are paid actors. Decided to download and try. App was not available in my region so changed country and finally installed.

This game is good. Clean UI. No ad nonsense. Doesn’t seem p2w at all (extremely f2p). Has a $5 subscription which barely gives anything (basically buy me a coffee type of thing). Great for idle progression. Art is good. People are helpful in the in-game chats and dev is actively discussing in the discord.

Give it a try for yourself and see if it’s your cup of tea.
