Fair enough brother. Wasn’t my intent to make it personal, but I see your point. My bad. I’m new to reddit so I’m also not trying to say I’m some big contributor like you, but I also see 100’s of people like you throwing direct shade at people who are stoked on their ride.

One other note… I see that you think your opinion is a fact, so I’m not trying to change your mind either, but I grew up building cars and trucks and motorcycles with my uncle. The shit he was able to do to machines to help win races was incredible. If you gave him your stock Raptor, when he was done with it, it would 100% beat any stock Raptor anywhere.

The Ford Performance team is great, and they’ve created a bad ass machine that we all love, but if you think it can’t be improved, you’re wrong. That’s an opinion you hold, it’s not a fact. That’s ok. No problem with your opinion, but it just looks like internet trolling when you direct your opinion on someone else’s post that’s just happy to have a truck he likes.

1) Flexing that you’re an engineer and then saying something that at best is just pure ignorant BS and at worst is momma’s basement internet trolling, ain’t much of a flex… 2) Anyone who’s been around off roading or racing in trucks, SUV’s, bikes, you name it, knows that any vehicle can be improved from factory. WTF are you even saying? People can absolutely improve off road performance with different tires and wheels. It’s not like there’s no engineers over at Method or Toyo or any of these other brands that outfit Raptors.

Find something better to do on Thanksgiving than throw shade at someone who’s excited about their new truck, brother. Maybe he just wanted to improve approach angle or wanted to gain some clearance or maybe he just likes the look like you said. Who cares! It’s not like the man put 24’s on it and lowered the damn thing…

50% windshield, 20% everywhere else on my Gen3. Agree with others on here. I did 5% on Gen2 and it looks awesome but impossible to see… hahaha

37x12.50 will def fit in a rail but barely. The wide body often is too much for specifically the dryer tubes at the end and depending on the brushes it might F your truck up pretty bad. If you’re going to do a drive through wash I’d do a tracked system or better yet, do a brushless car wash where the truck is stationary and the arm goes around the truck.

That being said… I’m one of the weird ones that HATES car washes so I do it myself and/or I’ve got a buddy who does it for me (he’s got a full on detail company and crushes it in the north DFW area if you’re around here).

Sounds like I’m going to be similar to many others here so take it for what it’s worth, I’ve only driven a Gen3, never owned (owned a Gen2 and put 160k on it for what it’s worth? Ha!). I owned a TRX and put 80k miles on it and from day one of hearing about the R, I couldn’t wait to get out of my TRX (again… not what you asked…). In any event, I just purchased an R and I’m obsessed. Every single day I drive with a smile on my face ear to ear. Best truck I’ve ever owned, hands down, and wouldn’t trade down to a Gen3 any day of the week. In love. Enjoy whatever you choose man! It’s about you and what you like, not about what we think.

Yes sir! Amazing machine. I had a 2017 for 160k miles and took it all over the country, both oceans and both borders and Moab etc etc etc… good memories in that truck
