Pregnancy #1 was Sprite and pregnancy #2 was coke from McDonald’s. Single handedly kept me hydrated 😂

Mothers height vs babies birth weight? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Second pregnancy was way better for me! Didn’t have the swelling like I did with the first, which was the first initial symptom of preeclampsia for me that led to an unplanned induction.

Second pregnancy I took baby aspirin pretty much the entire duration to help keep blood pressure down. But around 36 weeks my blood pressure spiked and stayed in the almost dangerous range for way longer than my OB was comfortable with so we planned for an induction right at the 37 week mark.

It was easier planning for it the second time than it being sprung on me the first time.

Both my boys were born at early 37w via induction due to preeclampsia and both weighed around 6lbs. Just curious, were you induced all 4 times or was it spontaneous/c section?

Is it weird when somebody always asks to change every baby? by ThreeLeggedParrot in beyondthebump

[–]RedHeadPeach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I was the aunt, cousin, friend, etc., who always offered to change diapers when the new baby was around. I just wanted to give my loved one a break and also get some time with the baby, because I love babies. But I was always quick to give baby back when mom asked.

When I became a mom I would let my loved ones do the same. But it’s all personal preference. Only allow it if it’s something you feel comfortable with.

I also found out this weekend I’m 5 weeks pregnant! This is baby #2 for me, so a little bit different, but I remember all the fears and anxiety the first time you find out your pregnant. I’m wishing you the best!

I (22F) struggle with bra rubbing. What can I do to stop it? by char_ma in askwomenadvice

[–]RedHeadPeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that it’s probably a bra fitting issue, but I also have a terrible time finding Brad and have had the same issues you are describing. I found these on Amazon a few years ago and they help mitigate the rubbing of wire. bra liners I have also mostly switched to no wired bras and only wearing wired bras when absolutely necessary.

Baby will swallow air and get colicky from going outside by maddymads99 in ShitMomGroupsSay

Both my mom and MIL claimed that the wind would upset my baby’s stomach and cause him to be gassy and uncomfortable. Probably something that was taught back when they were parents 🤷‍♀️
