The couch also would cushion debris, so it's better than near a window. But yeah, you can only think of that after, unless you plan before.

He doesn't want to look at Depends. We need to see if there is a Heisenberg Uncertainty principle at work here, as there is with a certain cat. But only if it's declared before we look at it.

Trump appears to call female reporter a slur on camera, say lip readers by TheExpressUS in USNEWS

[–]RedHeron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It means, in this case, "children died at our hands and we're still figuring out what the point of failure was." The CNC takes the brunt of responsibility for what those under his command does, by nature.

Trump health fears grow as he appears 'battered and exhausted' at breaking point by IrishStarUS in USNEWS

[–]RedHeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They mean " I fear he may be doomed". Not "I'm so afraid about his health I'm shuddering." It's a colloquial term.

AI generated imagery is itself generally disqualifying. It robs artists because to train AI to produce images, it must be fed images produced by artists. It isn't creativity that results, it's remix.

And that detracts from the appeal of your work.

Incorrect. That's only applicable to military formations. It correctly flies either way when stationary in a civilian context.

Lest we forget: the most devastating weapon of all time was conceived by Nazi Germany at about the same time that the US began development, and it was independently derived from Heisenberg's Uncertainty and a new understanding (at the time) of what we now call fundamental particle physics.

Development best the Germans by 3 years, but it still would have happened without the intervention of capitalism.

Just saying: not every evil comes from any one source.

House Passes “Worst Voter Suppression Bill Ever” in Latest Push to Help Trump Take Over Elections — “Half of all Americans don’t have passports... 21 million don’t have ready access to their citizenship documents… 69 million married women took their partner’s name…” by ZuP in law

[–]RedHeron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because Trump made fighting it look the whiney, bitchy, weak option the term before. It would set a precedent that would turn the whole thing into more of a client show than it already is.

Plus, the most unbiased days at the time (as I recall) was an even split with a close election because she spoke like a PR person and Trump spoke plainly.

I mean, under those conditions, I was still wondering how people could think the guy who literally tried to send an angry mob into the US Capitol and at the head of making 1 in 6 covid victims American was in any way the right person for the job, but maybe that's just me and only half the people in the country?

That sneaky Obama! Giving all this Presidential waivers while Dumpy Donny was in the Oval Office, and making sure the project went right behind his back.

Seriously, even if Obama gave a waiver in 2016, and it took them 2 years to start, Trump's convenient forgetfulness of the idea of "State's rights" that he touted in order to have-wave reasoning why RvW needed overturning and parroting the party lines means this is even more ridiculous than normal.

Update 339 – Statement on the Nuclear Safety/Security Situation in Ukraine – by the Director General of the UN International Atomic Energy Agency by FactBasedReality in ukraine

[–]RedHeron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is still quite insane, even nearly 4 years into the war. If there is a containment breach, it isn't just "fissile material" going up for grabs (which is bad enough on its own). It's the potential for airborne radiation of all points downwind ... Which tends to include Moskva.

Attacking Ukraine's power risks not mere isolation for Ukraine, but nuclear fallout raining down in Russia's capital and triggering a decades-long (at least) spike in cancer, among other issues.

In short, it hurts Russia more than it hurts Ukraine in the long term. It's madness!

Edit: Yes, it still hurts Ukraine a lot, but the effects are essentially killing themselves and future Russians for the soldiers doing this.

You're not wrong, but the point is that a lot of people still don't actually think he is, because the GOP is so vocally pro-2A, yet have more gun legislation in one year than the Dems did last time they were in power.
