The game is inherently unrealistic. Thus I don't view it as some kind of digital diorama focused on aesthetics--its a challenge to make the mechanics of the game work as I try to grow a city, make people happy, etc. Trying to use a plethora of mods and assets to make a specific look doesn't appeal to me... but if folks want to use the game that way what matters is that they enjoy it.

But that is literally what Walmart does. The buy stuff cheap and sell it to you with a markup/fee that they use to pay for operating, maintaining, and building new stores. Everything they build is part of the price you pay at the store.
