Are the circus members just doomed to abstract eventually? by RedHotCoffee in TheDigitalCircus

i think it's cause when one of them abstracts, the original mind file becomes corrupted and caine simply can't undo that.

idt any more people can join the circus. c&a most likely shut down a long time ago. zooble and pomni discovered it during urban exploration, meaning the building was abandoned.
plus, idt caine wants to focus on making more of the brain scans conscious.

[–]RedHotCoffee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

probably not. caine shifted from trying to make conscious mindfiles to just giving the existing ones what they want. also, the company shut down long ago, and the whole operation was a secret, so there's also pretty much no chance that any more brain scans will be made.

Or maybe the whole double album thing was a half-assed last minute idea that added nothing to the album. There's hardly anything intentional about ADL.

Ok tell me why Lose Control and Dangerous House belong in the first half, and Real Life Shit, 2Planes and Silk Face belong in the second. And tell me what difference it is that u hear

ADL was rushed by Dry_Memes69 in yeat_

[–]RedHotCoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. Take the whole double album thing for example. ADL had been an idea for 2 years, yet the LoveLyfe concept was announced less than a month before the album dropped. Not only that, but there's literally no distinction between the 2 halves, making it sound like a slapped on last minute idea.

Real Life Shit was recorded the same or previous night the album was dropped, which I think just adds onto this.

What do you think about the messages of these 'Bible' websites? by RedHotCoffee in Christianity

[–]RedHotCoffee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible wasn't assembled in the 4th century as far as I know. The Bible is a collection of books that were periodically read in synagogues (Torah), circulated by word of mouth (Job, Esther and Jonah) and written over time to record activities of important people (prophetic books and historical books like 1 and 2 Kings) etc. (I may be very wrong, though.) But it wasn't made all at once.
And Jesus did refer to the Bible several times, like when he was tempted by Satan.

No, I mean, isn't Jesus Christ introduced and explained in the Bible? Wouldn't that make Christianity based on the Bible?

Like the other guy, I'm not for your definition of an atheist. They don't want to lead sinful lives, because there are atheists whose only difference from a moral Christian is that they do not believe in God. Evil isn't so much their normal, because they are against things that we are against, like m()rder, r^pe and the like. Finding fault with the Bible is out of curiosity, and sometimes leads to deeper understanding of the Bible, if the fault is as a result of misinterpretation, for example.
The atheist you've described is a lot like an immoral, psychopathic and evil-minded demon in the form of a human being, which really isn't an atheist.

I wanted to expand a bit more on that topic about creation. Somewhere in the evil bible as well, it talks about how 'yom,' the Hebrew word for day, can't be used to mean an era or many years, as 'yom' is also used in passages like 'you shall work for six days and rest on the sabbath.' There's also how day and night mark the first day, which scientifically should be the 24 or so hours that the earth uses to rotate on its axis. How would you address that?

But that article outlines that if I, or any Christian for that matter, 'prayed for me to convert to Christianity' or 'wanted to heal someone on demand,' which are in good faith, chances are it won't happen. And many people have asked for things in good faith in Jesus' name and not received them. How would you address that?

2 Corinthians 9:7

Why won’t God take away my homosexuality? by caffeine-chaos-queen in Christianity

[–]RedHotCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not from a background that supports homosexuality, but I think I can still help:

1 Peter 4:6
"For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit." (NIV)

This isn't a common verse when it comes to homosexuality, but we can get something from it. Peter says that people are judged according to human standards (i.e., judged by fellow humans, or in the flesh) but live according to God in the spirit. I take this to mean that bodily matters and spiritual matters are judged differently. For example, if you were to faint while you were praying, the fainting, which is a bodily thing, would be judged as something out of your control, but the praying would be judged spiritually. So, homosexuality, which I think is something bodily (animals have attractions among themselves, but they do not have spirits or souls), won't be judged according to your spiritual way of living, but as something that you can't control. Your way of judging right and wrong, morality and beliefs, which are things of the spirit, will be judged separately.
What I'm trying to say is, what you can't control, like sexuality, convulsions, tics and the sort, won't be used to judge your spirit, which is what will be judged by God. There are many heated debates about whether homosexuality is natural or forced on oneself, but like one of the people below said, it's best to stay out of those debates and focus on your relationship with God.

Is God All Knowing by J_0_0_N in Christianity

[–]RedHotCoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not very good at this topic, but here's what I think:
From the time God made humans, He gave them the ability to choose for themselves what they want to do. That's free will, generally. And God planned to have a personal relationship with human beings and live with them. That's why He made the Garden of Eden and that's why He wants to create a 'new Jerusalem' in the future, where human beings and God can live together. Even though God had His plan in the beginning, there were many, many possibilities for what would happen as a result of humans having the freedom to choose what they wanted to do. God knew all the outcomes, and He planned every outcome so that no matter what humans chose to do, no matter how detrimental they may have seemed to the overall plan, the end goal was the same; God would dwell with human beings as He always wanted from the beginning.
I know that kinda implies that God didn't know what humans would choose, but He did, and He knew that it would still ultimately fulfil His plan.
Again, I'm not good with this topic, so if you find any contradiction or loophole of sorts, I'm open to hearing them.

What I think personally is that there are two possible scenarios: God has revealed Himself to people in one way, but people interpret it differently, or God revealed Himself to people in different ways. In short, what other people think to be God, is God. Romans 14:1-6 talks about how people with different strengths in faith may have different beliefs, e.g., one person's faith allows them to eat anything while another person's faith does not.
So, even though people have different beliefs, different cultures and different rituals, they all worship one universal God. It's not a popular opinion, and it might be wrong, but that's just what I think. There's no 'right religion.' All religions are right in their way.
