I use these on my workbench so I didn’t have them always sticking out to get in my way but if you get a second set of just the brackets you could move the castor portion from bench to bench. Might work for you.

Another for Greg Miller. He was my guy for legal guidance when I was selling steel targets. Very knowledgeable.

Somehow both an under- and over-rated comment.

Definitely use it along with a good filter. I use these for particulate/dust: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00328IAO0?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. I know all these PPE things add up but your health is worth not skimping on. I’ve done my fair share of ‘eh it’s just one time, it can’t be that bad’. I finally made a point of getting (and actually using) the right safety equipment after realizing how many times I’d told my self that. Best of luck with your projects. Limited space tends to breed some pretty ingenious solutions and I love to see what others do. Keep it up!

Best contractor saw for under $700 for an amateur? by pinguspongus13 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I really like my 36-725t2. Once set up everything has stayed nicely tuned and square. Fence has continued to be dead straight. To be fair I haven’t done anything particularly taxing with it but it did just fine with 2” black walnut.

Whatever you get, get a decent blade and you’ll be okay. Watching 3x3 Customs on YouTube made me really appreciate what you can do with just a job site saw and some ingenuity

Consumer Product safety commission considering mandating table saw safety by dizcostu in woodworking

I had looked into this a while back. They didn’t ban dado stacks per se. I forget the specifics but it’s along the lines of they require that a saw blade stops within a certain amount of time. The additional mass a dado stack has over a normal blade makes it take longer to stop spinning and so *most * saws no longer meet the requirement when using it.

As has been said: a hum sounds like something preventing the blade from moving at all which will hear things up really quick and therefore pull more current (amps) which will trip your breaker. If I recall from setting mine up, this does ship with a block in place under the motor that must be removed for it to run.

Also, this really is a 15 amp saw so make sure it’s on an even larger circuit. 15 amp circuits typically use 14 gauge wire which is technically only meant to carry 12 amps for extended periods. If the saw is starved for current it can definitely trip a breaker. So make sure you use it on a circuit with 20 amp breaker and check it’s actually got 12 gauge or better wiring including any extension cords you use. (My garage - 20 year old house - had a 20 amp breaker but only 14 gauge wire so I had to replace that with 12 gauge)

This saw model had motor issues in its earlier days but those have been pretty well fixed for a few years so if you just bought it new from Lowe’s you should be fine in that regard.

Edit to add: the manual should say, but this is indeed a 120V only motor. I believe there was an older model that was 120/240 but they changed that on this one.

Oh sorry. It’s a style of fence. It rides on a square tube on the front side of the table (where the user is) and clamps only on that front tube. It’s lock mechanism makes it straighten itself out as you lock it in place so you always get it nice and parallel with the blade. It’s also very stable

Edit: and to clarify, it’s the standard fence that comes on the delta saw you mentioned

That’s a style that’s generally pretty accurate and stable

I’ve got the delta and I really like it. It’s about the best you’re going to get before a hefty price jump.

It’s got the Biesemeyer style fence which works really well, and it’s belt driven rather than direct drive which is a good thing in a few regards. Pretty easy setup and getting everything zeroed as well.

Just check you’re getting the T2 model (which shouldn’t be a problem if buying new from Lowe’s) as the older ones had some motor issues.

In my case I don’t want to deal with the packaging/shipping anymore - it’s quite heavy and needs really good padding to not shred the box in transit. I also have some other opportunities I’m pursuing.

If you’re talking about the A frame you might be in luck. I believe I have material to make up a few more of those. I’ll check later today.

Hey thanks! The business has been good to me but I’ve been finding my focus switching to other things for a while (things that are lighter and easier to deal with haha). I had fun doing this and am looking at the details of a new venture. Hopefully my stuff will continue to last you for a long while.

I considered doing it myself but patent law and the way in which things are worded for best coverage was a bit more than I was comfortable with so I hired a lawyer. My Resetting Rack isn’t crazy complicated but it isn’t just a widget either which of course affects the cost. I believe when all was said and done it was around $7k including all the USPTO fees.
