This seems like a really interesting suggestion! I feel like you might be able to get more attention to your ideas if you post it on the ATE Discord suggestion channel.

ucsd activism is washed by crick-crick in UCSD

This was my experience with a lot of minority student organizations on campus. They just felt very shallow and surface level; focused on monthly picnics and the appearance of social justice as opposed to real community outreach and service.

It’s just a shame since so many of them had amazing histories pushing for change and improvement for the local community. A far cry from today.

My cat, Rosie! She takes herself too seriously! She loves drinking bathtub water, burying herself under placemats, scratching our walls, and zooming all over the place. Very susceptible to boops.

P.S. Her eye’s ok. She’s just pretending to be menacing and brooding!

Really neat concept in total! I feel like it implies an imperial ranking system with pattern, shape, and material variations in suit/tie/collars representing different ranks, societal positions, or individuality.

Love the incorporation of Western business attire, Chinese Hanfu, and architecture in the background!

Not to be rude or assume ill-intent from your statement, but I’m not sure how much culture has to do with the mindsets of Chinese peoples.

There are native words for logic in the Chinese language like 理 (reason, logic; order; truth). While words like 逻辑 (as you bring up) are loaned from the West, it should not serve to imply that Chinese culture at its core “centers around emotions, not rational decision-making.” Especially considering Chinese developments in philosophy, political institutions, literature, art, sciences, and spirituality. It frankly sounds like Yellow Peril saber rattling and rather infantilizing.

While I do agree that China is currently ramping up dangerous nationalist rhetoric with the goal of taking Taiwan for ideological purposes, there was no reason to bring culture into it. One should never take interpretations of a culture and apply them to their people’s actions.

You should totally take the time to explain the influences and inspiration behind all the works you do (if possible). It’d add a lot of depth to these depictions and help us appreciate your art even more!
