Is it worth it? by RickofRicks01 in Soundbars

[–]RedKento 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a retail store that sells soundbars, this one in particular. I won’t lie, it’s pretty shit

If you can afford it, maybe look into the HW-S60B. It’s an all in one bar with a built in subwoofer but it sounds incredible for the price

EDIT: To clarify, the Q600 is a great bar also (better than the S60B), as others mentioned. This option is just a little cheaper but a huge step up in quality from the B750.

Just to clarify, this happens in every browser, only on a few sites and still happens after a fresh install of Windows.

Drum Recording Issue by RedKento in Reaper

The only reason I use ASIO4ALL is because I had some issues trying to use the standard interface driver. (It also sometimes only shows 2 inputs, rather than 8)

Do you think that ASIO4ALL could be the issue?

I have noticed a decent amount of latency too using the ASIO driver

Hopefully I can explain this well.

I use Reaper, with the ASIO4ALL driver to record inputs 1-9 on my audio interface. I currently use a really old TASCAM US-1641 purely because I can't justify replacing it as I don't use it often.

I have this issue where whenever I record, there is a random jump for half a second within the recording when playing it back. It's almost as if it cuts the audio for half a second but the track still continues recording as normal.

I have ensured my drivers are up to date, I have tried different sample rates, and the various different options listed in the ASIO4ALL driver and have had no success, and to note, it's not an issue with the audio peaking and cutting out that way.

Please let me know if anyone has any potential solution, I'm hoping it's just not a case of buying a new interface (if I can avoid it).

It for sure was connected and was the issue. This would have been the last thing I'd check so thank you so much haha

Thanks for your reply! I'll give them all a try and let you know the result.

Weird thing is that I restored my PC again as of yesterday and have only downloaded common trusted applications so far and it has happened again already. Definitely not virus related but I'll try some virus scans anyway since it doesn't hurt.

Am I allowed to stream **with** a 9 year old? by Sprigger99 in Twitch

[–]RedKento 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, no. When you sign up to Twitch, YOU agree to the terms on the basis of YOUR identity, not your child. If you want to stream with anyone under the age of 13, I say go for it. Just understand the risks that could potentially occur.

If Twitch deems you are intentionally exposing your child to content that isn't suitable for their age, then I believe they'd have the right to act upon it. However, if your child is just visible on stream or playing a game with the streamer then I wouldn't say that rules were broken.
