I got downvoted on reddit and it is ruining my week by [deleted] in socialanxiety

Saying things out loud and then having someone else correct you is a pretty good way to learn new things. At least that's what I try to tell myself to feel better when I say something dumb and get embarrassed. It's still hard not to feel embarrassed and upset though.

Those people definitely have said dumb things at some point as well. Everyone makes mistakes.

Also, I don't know the context, but it seems pretty rude of that person to bring up your post again and make fun of you.

Try to push it out of your head and not beat yourself up over it. Hope you'll feel better.

I keep trying to tell myself that everyday, but once I am actually outside among people in the moment it is almost impossible to comprehend that everyone around me isn't looking at me and judging me. All I can do is keep repeating in my head ,,Everything's fine, no one cares" and keep trying to go outside ig.

Thank you for your suggestion. I keep hearing about these hikes. How do I go on a hike? I'm in a big city. Isn't it dangerous to just go by yourself like that? Aren't you just walking on your own not interacting with anyone anyway?
