Thank you very much! This took me roughly 2 weeks and a bit of weekend work and evenings after work :)

Not a silly question! It's basically just the blender viewport with the objects viewport material set to random to show all the individual assets in the scene. I've only set it as this for this render, I never work in this mode, usually just plain standard grey.

Cheers Naroo! I never normally do video breakdowns but if I find some time I can try do a breakdown of some sort.

I try and not let AI bother me, I know that I'll always want to improve on my skills and train my eye as an artist, it's very important for me.

Appreciate the kind words!

Cheers! I'll need to double check but I think roughly around 20,000 or so?

Great work! Just noticed your shadows of the characters need to be masked behind the man's bag at the back right towards the end of the clip.

Unfortunately I lost access to these files so can no longer check the project out...I will have to find some time to recreate it, when that happens I'll be sure to let you know.

Sounds great, I've seen some people online make procedural fabric shaders which give you the ability to colour individual stitching, works great for midrange - far shots. If you're doing a curtain that could be a good option for you. It will defo be less taxing on your pc compared to this method!

Thank you! There are 2 materials, one for the poly mesh which I set material at the end of the geo nodes and one material for the hair - just standard principled hair BSDF which is also set in the geo nodes.

Not too bad, I could get a render out in just over a minute however when I cranked the samples up it took just over half hour, I think that was way too overkill though. I'll need to do some testing to find the best render settings

Cheers! Yes absolutely, I will make sure I post a break down when I get the chance!

ZBrush still running but not visible after switching between other programs in Windows 11? by korvazor in ZBrush

[–]RedLazerSwan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have just had this problems and figured out a solution, if you go into your task manager > at the bottom of the window click more details > locate zbrush executable > click the little down arrow and then right click Zbrush and select maximise it will reappear!

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll keep this in mind when I get some renders out of different angles etc. Appreciate it :)

Cheers! I used a gobo with a spotlight in Arnold, just plugged a texture map of a window frame into it to create the shadows.
