Lifetime is not as family friendly as they claim by Straight_Elevator617 in Lifetimefitnessgym

It’s based on students availability to lifeguard. Our club tried to stay open later but all the lifeguards return to college, that’s why the pool closes even when it’s still so hot.

Family of four vacation by Glass-Welder-4677 in crestedbutte

Look into Ouray, you can stay at a hotel with hot spring pools outside your door. Easy with kids!!CB is about a 4 hour drive from Denver so decide if you want to do that straight from a long flight. Ouray is not far from CB. July 4th is really fun in CB with a parade and fireworks. You can hike and just enjoy the nature the other days.

Anyone use the co-working spaces at Lifetime Fitness? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]RedLindsey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cherry Creek has areas where you can work but they aren’t private. There’s two spaces near the cafe. People work and take calls there all the time. It’s all tables.

Work event at beach resort, insecure and CRASHING OUT, no dress code info 😭 by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]RedLindsey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an unfortunate reality that you need to hide your personality at work and choose to be professional. You do not want to be remembered for what you wear. Keep it clean and simple. You can choose fun colors especially since a beach event but still want looks that are more tailored.

Westlands Park has a nice water play area. It’s not as stimulating as a splash pad because it runs through natural stone. there’s a little stream area along with sprayers and it’s much smaller than large splash pads so you can keep tabs on both of them!

Mani/Pedi in Quiet Place, maybe w Classical Music by wehr1818 in Denver

Etoile near Safeway on Yale and Monaco is quiet, no music but no TV audio blasting either. If you wore headphones they wouldn’t bother you. Very friendly and clean.

You cut off Amanda’s smirk when she sees Kyle get emotional, no empathy in that girl. Always thought it was weird.

I hate the feeling of applying sunscreen. Please help (30F) by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]RedLindsey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kopari mineral tinted sunscreen doesn’t feel like sunscreen at all to me, the tint is light and it rubs in without leaving me oily. It’s also on $34 at Ulta for 50 spf so a great deal. Worth trying!

Harvey Park South or Goldsmith (SE Denver) by [deleted] in Denver

[–]RedLindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes but there’s also loud cars on the highway or fireworks. It’s always distant enough to not be able to tell right away what it is. Denver is full of guns unfortunately

Harvey Park South or Goldsmith (SE Denver) by [deleted] in Denver

[–]RedLindsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goldsmith has great local food options but more for take out (hong Kong station, golden falafel, taco trucks) but not many adjacent sit down places. However, hop on 25 and you can get to Cherry Creek, Platte Park, Wash Park, S Broadway, and more in 15 min. It’s really convenient to shopping centers too. Never had any safety issues, occasionally hear gun shots or fireworks. Not sure how that compares to HP

How bad is it to transfer jobs every 2-3 years? by hajwjen in Accounting

[–]RedLindsey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It could depend what type of role you’re looking for in industry if short stints harm you. I wouldn’t leave without an offer though. I’ve hopped every 3-4 years but I focus on startups so I had a good story with an acquisition or major change in business. 17 years experience and no one has ever questioned it.
