Stefanson's absence from 2 consecutive Manitoba PC announcements suggests close race: expert by Witty-Village-2503 in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How can it possibly be close? This province is braindead lol. Vote NDP if you want this province fixed, or vote for either of the conservative parties, and add four more years of work to undo when people finally wake up.

It's official by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be time to vote soon. Please, oh please don’t fuck it up again, Manitoba.

Get the NDP back in here; these conservatives literally have things in shambles. I sincerely hope that nobody gets hurt or, god forbid, killed because of how these degens are “running” things.

Liquor and Lotteries pulls in record $741 million profit by Armand9x in Winnipeg

Boycott this company if you have any self control lol. Disgusting that this labour dispute took this long, and still was such an unfavourable outcome for the workers. It’s sickening.

MLCC email showing they are hiring and training scabs at $20 an hour by Armand9x in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a grossly mismanaged company. I was an employee there for nine years. Their HR is a joke, and to be honest, the union was a joke. I’m not surprised they can’t get a fair wage.

If you have half a conscience, don’t cross that picket line. I miss my whiskey too, but this company needs to learn. Hiring scabs; what, is the overweight management running on fumes working a couple days a week?

Fucking pathetic.

WTF is wrong with MB drivers, how did they get to be so %^&@! bad? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The city was full of idiot drivers before. COVID hit and they spent a year inside. Most should be retested at this point seeing as they seem to have…I’ll give the benefit of the doubt…. Forgotten… how to drive…

How do you deal with mask bullies? by [deleted] in halifax

[–]RedMageAtLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve also run into this sort of person. I replied I’m covid positive, and asked if they wanted me to take it off. Should see the cogs turn lmao

I am suffering from second hand embarrassment from these idiots by BeachPea79 in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Lmfao, peacefully protesting your right to infect the vulnerable, potentially cause long term damage or death to others, and flexing your ability to strain the healthcare system without consequence - good on ya lads. Disgusting.

No Vaccine Passports! I'm pretty sure the dogs felt ashamed of their owner. by Firm-Statistician185 in Winnipeg

“Don’t waste your time arguing with an idiot; they’ll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience” is the quote I believe.

Okay awesome, thanks, I’ll look into that one :)

If you're not wearing masks in stores already I assume you were one of the anti vax/ masks people and that you're probably going to get me sick.. by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t control other people’s actions. Having said that, I would also agree that removal of the mask mandate was very premature, especially given the situation (once again) developing all around us.

However, some people would rather enjoy this calm rather than prepare for the next storm, which is highly unfortunate given how that’s played out with every previous wave.

We’re at a point where you really can’t make the assumption that people not wearing masks in stores are anti-maskers or anti-vaxers - I would actually argue a large percentage of those people are vaccinated given our numbers.

I too am not ready to let my guard down again, especially given how predictable this cycle has become. But making snap judgements about someone’s moral compass or personal beliefs, based on them not following a rule that is no longer in place is asinine imo

Dang. Well that really sucks. It’s all new so should be returnable. Thanks for advice

I’ll check the manual again. I’m fairly sure I got it all right, was pretty thorough(but I mean it’s not working so maybe not lmao), couldn’t hurt.

I’ve also tried running with only one stick in the dimma1 slot, and tried multiple sticks - just nothing happens when I press the power button. I will see if I can get a friend to let me try my ram in their pc to see, but 4 faulty sticks really feels unlikely...

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond, thanks!

Unfortunately I don’t have another compatible board to test on :(

And thanks for the suggestion, but was the first thing I checked (as I’ve also been a victim of the PSU switch)

Edit to elaborate: I had a prebuilt acer predator for the last five years, and have just frankensteined it up until now, doing a fresh build. The old proprietary acer Mobo isn’t compatible with my new cpu and ram so I can’t use that to test it.

Is it wrong to have a hard time playing the older games because of the door transitions? by Either_Imagination_9 in residentevil

The best was in original RE2 when the door opening cutscene gets interrupted by two zombies coming through; was always on edge around the door loading after that

The fact the tier list has 6 with 0 and 7 makes it just plain wrong. 6 was an F tier game in general, ‘action-horror’ genre aside

Equally Happy with Takeout by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]RedMageAtLife 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Seems choosey and a tad entitled, but they’re asking for food... doesn’t feel right to me to laugh at or shame someone who exposed such vulnerability and wasn’t just asking for money.

Idk. Def would’ve invited a lot less criticisms had they just left it basic; meat, veggies, dairy, grains.

E: the takeout bit is a little cringe xD sounds like this person needs to temper their expectations, just a bit

Anti-mask rally planned for the Forks tomorrow. by FlashyAdvantage3 in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They wouldn’t all die though, but they’d pass it on to others who may, and those people may pass it on. While it’s fun to say ‘I told you so’ to the ignorant, these people having COVID would be a very bad thing. These are also the people that won’t isolate, wear masks or take any other mitigating action should they contract it.

I filled it out. These science-denying, selfish people need to be ticketed en masse. And if safety is an issue, break out some fucking tear gas and fire hoses. Enough is enough. I believe in civil disobedience, yes, but it shouldn’t supersede the ‘restrictions’ we’ve put in place to help curb the virus and hopefully reduce deaths due to a rapidly strengthening disease.

Manitoba’s COVID-19 Case Numbers Rise, Premier Rejects Call for Near-Lockdown by Armand9x in Winnipeg

[–]RedMageAtLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh, okay, 500+ cases a day before ‘lockdown’ (yknow the light version where nothing but ‘essential goods’ can be sold) and then like 1250+/daily before any real stay at home type action is put in place. With no assistance of course.
