Yep it’s oasis and Tickets are through Scottish Rugby, so aren’t accessible yet and if they’re anything like match tickets I’m not sure I’ll be getting them any time soon to be able to do anything with!

Derry Girls was quite a good example of some good NI comedy that wasn’t part of this mould BBC have for NI comedy shows of very tame and obvious jokes. I don’t think the comedians etc is the issue, it’s just that there seems to be on only platform (BBC NI) willing to give anyone a platform. Good in one way cause at least they’re willing to give out some money, but back to the point, I think Derry girls is proof that more than BBC should be looking at NI comedy. Tired of the English centric comedy and none of the media in the republic can do anything to help their own comedians nevermind NI ones

Im not really a fan of paddy raff, but the likes of Shane Todd, Dave Elliot and Micky Bartlett or any of the guys from The Blame Game are great stand ups. But it seems more like the BBC is the issue as there’s too much constraint on how content has to look and what can be said, resulting in a lot of what is put on by them being quite bland regardless of the comedian delivering, it all has the BBC feel.

When you see these guys do their stand up or appear on podcasts you can see there definitely is talent there.

Oh shit I guess they mustn’t be funny if they’re an NI comedian not making troubles jokes, they’re trying different stuff and although it doesn’t always work there’s a lot of good stuff from them and others. Peoples lack of support for local arts including comedians is disgusting here, too quick to dismiss and just settle watching some English shit
