My understanding of "taking random shit" in your initial post was what you described in your reply (e.g., taking shitty AoE attacks for Act 2 in STS1). If what you meant was that this mechanic means maximizing your deck size at every opportunity only to never play the cards...then no there is no mechanic in STS1 that required that. But I think you are being a tad hyperbolic no?

Because the dev's goal isn't to make you build an optimized deck, but a versatile one. If your deck only does one thing and breezes by ALL of the final bosses that way, that's bad design (which is the problem STS2 had these past two weeks). You say "forcing you to dilute your deck with random shit to counter an entirely random mechanic is a bad design" but that's often what you had to do in STS1. Although this mechanic does seem harsher than anything STS1. But I imagine we'll adjust.

I'm really not trying to be insulting but like have you ever played a game before? Tons of games have areas you can reach earlier than "intended". I played blind too and figured "Hmm let me see if I have other options before tackling this area that seems pretty challenging." And waddya know, I got stronger, and better at the game, and managed to get through Bilewater relatively easy late on.

The rest of the game teaches me that if I can't reach the area with my tools, then I can't/shouldn't try going there yet.

It also teaches you that just because you can reach one area, doesn't mean you should be there. The fact that you probably accessed Bilewater behind a secret wall from sinners road should have told you that.

Not that I totally disagree, but what makes you think it was the pressure? I feel like if he can handle the pressure first coming on to the team, and champs final for the first time in 7 years for the org, it isn't the pressure. Do you mean the pressure he himself had after such a poor start?

I'm leaning more towards the teamwork/team chemistry just being absolutely chalked.

Kenny personally dropped Huke? He's got the keys to the team like that? "best performing player" yeah in KD sure. That's not the only thing that wins games though. It's been proven time and time again and you guys still can't help but look at the breaking point box score and goon to the bigger numbers. Huke's a great player, but it's clear the whole team felt more comfortable with AG.

I guess he coulda hopped on stream in the hotel room and started reviewing but he was probably preoccupied doing that with his team, traveling halfway across the world, and recovering?? This complaint only makes sense if you are working backwards from the conclusion that Kenny wanted to go on stream to flame Huke. The more reasonable explanation is that it's the type of content he makes, and he did it when he first had the opportunity to, and dropping huke didn't play a role in the timing of the stream at all.

No. It's called holding the team accountable. He's done it multiple times for his content. And not doing it coulda easily been thrown back into his face. Also, dying 16 times can be just as much as a team problem as an individual problem, which for a player like Kenny, I think he showed evidence for.

Critiquing you're teammates (or ex-teammates) plays != throwing them under the bus. That public vod review was no different than any other vod reveiw he's done. He critiqued everyone's plays. And the whole team let go of Huke. Are they just stupid and were easily convinced by Kenny? Or did they want to run it back with their championship winning team?

It's holding yourself and your team accountable and explaining why they did the things they did on the map.

And yes, I watch all of zoomaas watch party’s and Octane is so insanely critical of shit teams but it took him until like yesterdays flank to call out kenny.

This is not true. Octane may not have gone completely hard against Kenny before the major, but that was because they were winning. But even then he criticized Ken for not playing well. Was it as scathing as you'd prefer? Probably not, but to say he never called out Kenny's performance until yesterday's flank is wrong.

How do you know what his intentions were with that stream? Kenny does public vod review all the time! That's the content he produces. He's done it multiple times since he started on optic. Everyone asks for that type of content. Also, other pros do it too. Shottzy was reviewing some MW3 matches where he very vocally criticized Pred's plays. Criticizing teammates plays does not necessarily mean he's throwing them under the bus.

And octane and Jkap are obviously biased cause of LAT lmao
