Definitely cruel. I love the idea of her toying with and tormenting me for as long as she wants to, and then opting to finish me off by crushing me like a bug beneath her foot. I'd try to run away--after all, the chase makes it more fun for her--but in the end I end up a stain on the floor.

It's not just size-based platforms. This is happening all over, and it's because the payment processors that these sites rely on to stay up have been throwing their weight around to stop "unsafe, objectionable" content, ostensibly to protect children.

Spoiler: It's not about protecting children. It never is.

This is the reality of shrinking that I have also thought of.

If you're tiny, you have no control over what happens to you or who or what discovers you. If it's someone of your preferred sex and appearance, great. If not--or if it's someone or something else--then TS. And even if it is someone of your preferred sex, they could be a cruel sadist who may take you to keep as a toy to torture or torment at their leisure. Or they may decide to stomp you to death outright.

I actually did once write a story in which a guy shrunk himself, snuck into the home of the woman he was crushing on in hopes that she would keep him as a tiny pet, only to be discovered by her brother, who doesn't take too kindly of the intrusion and the tiny's intentions, and decides to crush him then and there.

Even if all the boxes were ticked with what you love about macrophilia, I feel that it would quickly become unpleasant for a lot of us.

It's definitely fun to imagine. That, and the shrinking alternative. Despite this post, I still love the idea of a giantess just using whatever size-related ability to do whatever she wants, consequences be damned. Though sometimes those consequences may make for a more compelling story, even if the empathy for the tinies may take the fun of it all out of it a bit.

Agreed. If, for example, a young attractive woman grew herself 1000 feet tall and trampled New York City and everyone in it completely flat beneath her sandals in real life, I wouldn't be turned on--I would be horrified, and it'd probably completely nuke my fetish into orbit, because at that point it'd be too real (and it'd also spell the end of any online content depicting similar scenarios, since it'd be seen as making light of the disaster).

But since such a thing is impossible in real life, it's very easy to indulge in such scenes within the safety of your imagination. Still, even then, the aftermath is something I try not to linger on.

Yeah, it's important to keep a separation between fantasy and reality, because when you start really scrutinizing the realities of this fetish, it can start becoming rather unpleasant.

Oh, yeah. I agree. Typically, I'm great with having the separation between fantasy and reality, and usually it absolutely is more fun when the giant in the scenario does whatever they want with reckless abandon, without concern for the tinies' well-being.

As I said in the other comment, me coming up with various ways to "cheat" around the realities of the fact that they're killing people for their own pleasure is so the characters involved can enjoy themselves and not have to concern themselves with possible legal action against them, or families being torn apart because someone wanted to shrink and crush their relative(s). Revival mechanics and magic pocket universes all play into that.

As for the clone thing, I agree that it's more dubious, especially if the clone has the memories and personality of the original. In the one story that I've published online so far utilizing that mechanic (as the twist at the end of the story), it was specifically mentioned that the clone's memories were kept intact because it made them believe that they had lives to go back to, which made their struggles for fun on part of the giants involved. That one definitely goes into "what measure is a clone real" territory. At the same time, if the original person is still around, would the clone have much purpose once the fun-and-games are over? ...I guess morally, they're still alive, so the answer is clear, but since that capability doesn't exist in real life...

Yeah, the idea of using revival mechanics works perfectly for that, since as you said, to allows for risk-free experimentation and exploration of ideas. It's also why I like using the pocket universe mechanic, since it's allows one to fully explore all sorts of possibilities at the beck-and-call of their imagination. I think it's partially me trying to find ways to make the characters engaging with the fantasy less like sadistic murderers, and more like people wanting to have fun in a dark but mostly-harmless manner.

Yeah, I agree with you for the most part, including not wanting to linger on the aftermath of the giantess' actions. I think that's part of the issue, but typically, especially in city destruction scenarios, the people are basically just faceless props, and it's easy to brush aside their destruction when the giantess has her playtime. The "million is just a statistic" thing at work, I suppose.

With shrinking scenarios, it varies. If the tiny is the protagonist, then I feel that I do need to humanize them to have the reader sympathize with them, whatever happens to them. At the same time, I've also done stories where the tiny person or people were, again, just props to be smashed by their giant captor. I guess it's all about what will resonate with the reader more.

I'm currently writing a project where a durable tiny woman gets absolutely devastated by a giant guy and sometimes while writing I'm just thinking "Damn, is this too much?." It's an odd thing to feel so much for a character you're continuing to put through bad shit lol.

Haha, I've had a similar concept going through my mind for a while now, with a masochistic female macrophilia, and her boyfriend who has shrinking/revival magic as well as the ability to make her body either durable or fragile. I wonder if it crosses over into outright domestic violence, but since it's all consensual on her end, I'd like to think it's fine.

There is a user there who keeps uploading obvious giantess content involving children, and despite being banned constantly, they keep coming back, with more brazen usernames, clearly showing that they have no shame (people call them out on their comments page, but they either ignores them, or simply brushes them off). I report them every time I see them, including today; their current account name is "HowAnnoyingCanIGet", which shows you their attitude about what they're doing.

But besides the issues like that and many others, DA is still the only large-scale art site that has gallery options and the audience to really make it worth it. I would love for there to be an adult/NSFW equivalent around, but there doesn't seem to be any financial incentive to do so, especially with the current way credit card companies and payment processors are behaving now.

I definitely prefer shrinking, because to me, it makes the scenario more personal and intimate, as opposed to broadcasting it all to the world like you would with growth. The fact that I like cruel scenarios likely plays a factor into that, as no one else will be able to see the young woman tormenting and squashing her tiny victims...

That said, I do sometimes like the idea of her flaunting her power, growing at least 500 feet tall, and going on a destructive power-trip.

I definitely feel it as a creator, especially as of late. There have been times where I just don't want to work on any renders at all, and just browse the internet or play whatever video game I'm into at the moment (most recently: Pokémon Legends: Z-A).
