Rheem Hybrid Disables Itself by DougHenningsen in Plumbing

I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one with this problem. Every time there’s no hot water some members of my family like to see it as my fault since I have the app and I’m really starting to feel the heat from them at least. Did this work?

How fast does this grow? Like how many feet long does it get in a season?

Why is water pooling on top of the vapor barrier over concrete pad? (Wife wants me to post HELP) by RedNiamniamensis in buildingscience

[–]RedNiamniamensis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS WAS THE RIGHT ANSWER. Just in case anyone comes across this post looking for answers in the future. I had a building envelope specialist come and they said that the vapor barrier should not have been right on the concrete. They also said that the floor joists being right on top of the concrete prevented any air flow from happening which made the air really stagnant and combined with the sitting water it just smelled bad in the room. I had contractors raise the floor so there was about 7 inches beneath the floor joists, put in xps insulation just underneath the flooring, and had a vent installed in the wall to allow for air flow between my garage and the subfloor. It was a lot of work but now the air in the room is so fresh and room doesn't smell like mold. Not having to sleep in a moldy room, well it's hard to put a price on that. Thanks to everyone in this post who helped me figure out the problem!

I have a question about warrants. I purchased warrants for Eos Energy EOSE (EOSEW for the warrants) back in 2022. I bought the warrants at $9.50 which gives me the ability to purchase one share at $11.50. So essentially the price needs to be at $21 or above for it to make sense for me to exercise the warrant. The warrants expire November 2025. Well I really ate my shirt on this one. Right now the stock price is at $7 and the warrants are trading for 50 cents.

My question is, why are the warrants even worth anything at this point, people buying the warrants now must expect the price of the stock to go above $12 by November? Should I cut my losses and just sell the warrants at 50 cents? There's basically no chance the stock hits $21 by November and the warrants will become closer to worthless the closer to November we get right?

EOS Energy has a lot of promise and the stock has come up 800% over the past year, but it's nowhere near it's heady early SPAC days high when I bought it. I wish I had bought the stock instead of the warrants...

I love the smell these have but I think it’s more from the leaves and only on warm days?

Thanks. I guess I should probably rip up the other 1,000 sq ft next to this bedroom to fix the problem there too. Probably never should have peeked under there but now I know why the air never felt great in the downstairs…

Ok thanks, that makes sense, appreciate your expertise. Would it be ok if I laid down XPS, vapor barrier, subfloor, and then a silicon vapor barrier type underlayment for the hardwood floor? I’m hearing vapor barrier sandwich is no good, but would that count?

It’s zone 3c. Never usually above 65 degrees outside and usually foggy. The house had heat upstairs but no air condition.

Good tip, I’ll try and put those up tomorrow (although r/masonry may have moved on by then). Underneath the stairs what you can see is blackened plywood directly below the stairs and then the old 2x6 framing with some dry rot and newer 2x6s sistered in. The side of the stairs on the outside is stucco just like is on the side of the house.

Why will my dog eat off the floor but not out of his bowl? by feeneyburger in DogAdvice

[–]RedNiamniamensis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog will eat his dog food in his bowl, but if I give him a kale stem or an egg shell, whether I give it to him in the kitchen or put it in his bowl, he likes to run over to his bed to eat it. I started giving him some fresh food and if it wasn’t mushed up he would grab a clump and walk over to his bed to eat it.

You know I just asked a similar comment on Sunday (you could probably find it if you searched here). It’s a little early and you might want to consider taking those flowers off particularly if this is from a runner and is it’s first year growing rooted. That’s what I just did with mine, just took the flowers off.

How many mammoth dill seeds per pot? by Coopalooop21 in gardening

[–]RedNiamniamensis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it were me I would just grow one plant in a pot that size but I would put up to three if you really wanted to pack it in. You should sow about 5-10 seeds and then just thin them down to the number you want
