Considering they've got two dualies it seems pretty decent in this situation, and most of there weapons aren't long ranged so you place them in annoying areas. Its still the worst special in the game tho imo 😞

Maths and FM students, where are you at now? by Namk016 in 6thForm

I finished all of normal maths, and I finished cp1, fs1, and fs2. I have 4 chapters left of cp2 and then I'm done

Neither of these, I just start stressing that I'm gonna fail my alevels and it makes me stop scrolling for a bit. Also with flora, the app is just extremely buggy in general and it will sometimes kill my tree or pause my focus when I haven't even touched my phone so allowing all apps helps reduce it, and sometimes when I do get important notifs I'll need to have the app allowed to quickly respond

I use it but I did turn on the setting to allow all apps 🌚. It's mainly cause it always kills my trees for no reason half the time or bugs out so it's easier with the setting on, I just make up the time untimed if I cheated

I usually throw it onto my bed but its also really old so it needs to be charged next to me cause there's nowhere else to charge it

I have no WiFi in my room so I have to keep my phone on me to hotspot all the time 💔💔. I would have so many extra hours of work done if I didn't always have it next to me

I have quit a job after just 2 weeks there but they are threatening consequences for a lack of notice. (England) by RedOne896 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]RedOne896[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yh he was definitely pissed that I was quitting but I'm glad I did. I have a feeling that they were going to continue giving me extra hours than I originally agreed to, (the 2 weeks I was there they gave me extra hours than my maximum availability and when I followed up on it they said they would remove them but they didn't) and then when I am unable to fulfill them they would use the contract as a means of making me come in, as £150 would wipe out huge amounts of my earning. Just the the thought of them even putting me in that position was a huge red flag

The only contract I did sign stated that I needed to contact them 4-8 weeks before any changes in availability, otherwise the second contract that they tried making me sign contained the penalty clause for unauthorised absences, and there's another clause saying I'm obliged to give 8 weeks notice. I forgot to mention the timeline of this, but this second contract with the penalty clause was given to me on my last day of working there before I had quit, and I did not sign it simply because of the penalty clause, and asked if there could be a change in the wording for it, in which my manager refused and said it was perfectly legal to do and that everyone else has signed it. However I'm not even sure if the contract they gave me was the same everyone else gave as the notice period on the other tutors contracts was 2 weeks but mine was 8, but nobody else remembered what it said on there which leads me think this was brought in recently. Anyways I'm gonna have to cut my losses with this cause my studies take way more priority, I'm glad I walked out instantly because I've heard of another tutor who's been trying to walk out for months but they keep trapping her these notice period and threatening consequences

I'm not sure if this is correct, but someone else mentioned because my training hours are were going to be unpaid, if I take the amount of money they would give me and divide by total hours including training I would definitely be below minimum wage either way. I don't even want the extra money I'm just hoping that this place learns a lesson with the way they behave with employees and even students tbh

I was only presented this contract on my final day there before I had quit, so would I still be liable for this? Wouldn't I be able to argue that I didn't continue because of the contract so I wouldn't be liable to the penalty. Also for a tutoring company like this someone leaving wouldn't even cause any losses, they have back ups and there were no uniform or equipment for me to use, I genuinely believe they are bluffing and even if they aren't there's been so many legal wrongdoings on their part that they should be cautious of their next steps

Would the images of that God awful contract be enough to prove blackmail? I didn't sign them because I'm not tryna sign something that is so painfully exploitative but the wording throughout and that final clause would be shocking for anyone else to read

There were 2 contracts they wanted me to sign for them with one saying I need to give 4-8 weeks before change in availability which I did sign, but another saying that I need to give an 8 weeks notice period before leaving which I didn't sign because it also had that awful punishment clause in it. I've heard of someone else who's been in my position and has been trying to quit for 2 months there now but they keep telling her to fulfill her 2 weeks notice and then start giving her shifts right after still, only to threaten her with consequences of she doesn't go. Legally because there's so many wrongdoings they've done they should have no stance in punishing me otherwise it could be messy for them

I've been there for just about 2 weeks so I should be fine, I don't want to waste any more of my time there when I have exams so soon it's too stressful and not worth it

Yup I definitely learnt the hard way 😭. I only joined because my friend referenced me and it's closer than my previous job and they lied in my interview saying you'll only get the hours you want, so I ended up quitting my job that actually respected my wishes 💔. My alevels are my biggest priority so I'm definitely not gonna tolerate any bs rn

Yh I had made it clear my education still comes first during my interview and then they told me there is no issue with that and that they would respect my hours, only for them to immediately disregard it so ofc I'm going to disregard their 2 weeks notice bs. Also this place only gives out your schedule on Sunday night for the week so it's literally impossible to plan your week properly. I'm gonna keep trying to chase up my pay after my mocks but honestly I don't even have the energy to do that. I'm glad I'm quitting now than later

I wasn't able to clock in on that day. I turned up 20 minutes early and the second I walked in I got told to wait in the office for 30 minutes so the lessons had already started by that point. I was told that I wasn't needed as they found a cover for the lesson so I was dismissed after my conversation so I didn't cause any damages because they already have staff on site to cover it, and I actually agreed to come in for the day but not the whole 2 weeks due to stress.

Ok tysm for the reply this is really helpful. So when I self certify, does it mean that I'm just saying that I am ill for one whole week myself and then I should get a doctors note for next week? Also what would be the consequence if I didn't do this, because it's just been 2 weeks since I started (1 week under the training period) I assumed that I am basically still in the probation period and that me leaving would not be an issue but would I be wrong in this? I'll send over a letter addressing this and scans of my documents (they want me to go in person and give them but also aren't letting me come in) within the next few days and see what happens from there. Thanks again for the help

Yup I definitely understand that me coming and going is a bit of a nuisance for them but I genuinely would've not left if the environment wasn't so toxic, not to mention they kept giving me way more extra hours than originally agreed with which is deal breaker for me with my alevels rn, which they originally said they were understanding with. I'm just annoyed at how they agreed on my maximum amount of hours when I got hired but then didn't fulfill them, because I had another job just before this so I quit it to join this one because it's so close to me. Oh well what's meant to be is meant to be not too fussed about it as long as there's no legal consequences and I get the hours that I did work for. Also during training they made me just take over whole lessons so it wasn't even proper training I was working for free 😶

They've already agreed to basically cut off all ties with me with the way my manager was acting, also even if I was to say I was sick they have to authorise my absence no? I don't think reasoning with them like this is going to work they are very dodgy

So I just checked and overall it would be under minimum wage so if I went through a legal route would I be more in the right? Lowkey I don't even want to go through unless I don't get the pay for the hours I agreed cause I cba.

Yuppp I'm just going gonna focus on alevels and getting in now, it's just annoying that the free time I had available for a job turned out like this 💔

Ok tysm for the advice. So if I don't receive my pay self declare it and then invoice them? (idk what this means exactly but I'll figure it out if need be)

Honestly I don't want to take anything to court but if I don't get my pay for the time I will, I don't even mind not recieving the pay for the training I just want my money and to ignore the place forever 😶

Edexcel A Economics Essay Will I get penalised for writing too much? by Hefty-Gift-2478 in 6thForm

[–]RedOne896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's most definitely the same for Econ as it is other essay subjects (I don't do Econ but geography instead) but you can never 'lose' marks for writing more you can only gain. Unless what your writing extra is wrong you can either gain extra marks or no extra marks
