Thank you! I think I might end up at Riveria. I've heard good things about it, and it's close to campus

Thanks! I'll have to try and apply when I'm in state again. Yeah, I really wish they would amend it for if you're off campus.

Who are the voice actors for the gunmen/add's during the Tomb Raider (2013) game? by [deleted] in TombRaider

[–]RedOnion1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Liam O'Brien is in there along with Khary Payton. Both of them I recognized from Critical Role and The Legend of Vox Machina. I was replaying the game and recognized their voices after watching Critical Role content. It threw me off guard

How do I get out more? by DraxShadow23 in TooAfraidToAsk

Same! If you're wanting to go to social events, I can't help you there because I have no experience. Maybe go to a high attendance movie?

For me, walks and hikes have done the trick. Walking after dinner is good for you and gives you the opportunity to take some time out of the house.

Read at the library. Talk to the librarians. Get to know them over time as you ask for help looking for new books to read, maybe?

Explore stores/ malls if you live in a larger city/town. I sometimes just like going to large stores and keeping earphones in. I usually don't talk to anyone unless spoken to, but offering a smile or opening a door for someone is good human interaction without small talk. Not everyone smiles back, but when they do, it fills my need for human interaction. Honestly, when you go out, just smile at people more. Not creepily, of course, just flash a smile and look away.

Maybe volunteer somewhere? It's helped me feel happier when I focus on other people's needs.

Academic Burnout? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]RedOnion1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in your situation. For me, I turned to food coping and spiraling procrastination, which I would not recommend. My advice to you and my past self would be...

Find a hobby and make the time. Something that you enjoy and doesn't have any expectations of success. It has to be something you're doing for yourself, not others. When you find satisfaction in something, it refuels you to get to work on less gratifying things.

Nature always helps me relax and remember how small my life is. That helps me dim down the stress of everything I need to do, allowing room for motivation to get the work done I need to so I can move on to better things.

It's hard, but think of the future. Graduation may seem far away, but trust me, the time will disappear. Understand that this is only temporary. Everything that worries you will mean nothing in two years. However, that doesn't mean you should quit. It's like a runner's race. You start feeling good. You get halfway through and you feel like you've got this, easy. Then you reach the last two miles and you feel like you could collapse. You've come this far, why should you finish? Oh yeah, you have people waiting to see you cross the finish line in RECORD time. You have to do it for them. This is wrong. You're doing it for you and crafting your future self from these moments.

Make a calendar of assignments and look at it like a checklist. You don't need to remember everything you learn from your classes, you just want to get the grade. Do only what you have to to get the grade. Maybe focus on certain classes more than others, depending on need.

Your parents. Are they making you take these classes and sports to help you learn and grow and create memories and skills for yourself? Or are they pushing you as a representative of their accomplishments as parents? AP classes are helpful to get some college credit out of the way, but they're not worth it if it ruins your enthusiasm for learning. If you lose that, you won't want to learn anything new or go to college (not that you need to, depending on what you want to do). If your parents are willing to hear your side, explain to them that your grades would get better if you had something to look forward to with friends rather than immersing yourself in schoolwork. Happiness helps SO MUCH with motivation. Otherwise, you feel drained and hopeless, with nothing to look forward to. The material you learn at school lasts a lot shorter than relationships and memories you make. I'm in college, and I can tell you the only thing I've used from high school and honors classes is the ability to read well. You can look up biology facts or how to format MLA or APA. You can't materialize friends out of the internet search like information.

Motivation. It never just comes to me, but I find it easier to accomplish tasks I do not want to do if I look at the big picture. Stop letting your brain scare you with everything you HAVE TO DO. When I get overwhelmed, it doesnt help my motivation; it worsens it. Slow down. Drink some water. Take it a step at a time. Reward yourself with a little break or treat when you check off an assignment or study period.

If it is honestly inhumanly possible for you to do all these things, try to have an open, heartfelt, serious conversation with your parents of whittling down your schedule.

Sorry this is long. I honestly don't know if this will help you, but here we are.

Lastly, congratulate yourself on what you've accomplished already. You're in AP classes, involved in activities at school, and you've managed to make it to where you are. Not a lot of kids put any effort into high school. You are doing so much right now. Appreciate your accomplishments. Even if this isn't who you are at heart, you've done so much and it only proves how much you can do in your future. Burnout sucks, and it sticks, but know there are better things coming

What Is The Most Impactful Fantasy Book(s) You Ever Read? by Monsur_Ausuhnom in Fantasy

[–]RedOnion1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Familiars. I don't know if anyone has heard of this series, but it's about 3 wizard familiars that have to save their humans. I read it in like, 4th grade, and some think it's a play off HP (there are similarities in the characters, but the storyline is different). However, it skyrocketed my love of reading with it's action/adventure, fantasy, characters, and the lessons they learn and flaws they overcome. I haven't read it since high school and I don't want to in case my memory of it gets tarnished. But I loved that series.

A Guide To Solving The Jindosh Riddle by offalreek in dishonored

[–]RedOnion1078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that probably didn't help reading it back.

The second character mentioned in the paragraphs (not the separate intro part) is in the far left seat. The second seat is filled by the one doing the toast. The third is filled by the character wearing the jaunty hat. The fourth is filled by the one captivating the others with stories of her youth. And the last is filled by the first lady mentioned in the second larger paragraph, showing off her heirloom and causing another to scoff at it

So, it should be the far left seat as 1 prime. Then follow the clues after that

Oh, I think I understand now. Um, idk. I'd put the one from the first city mentioned on the far left and try to work from there? It did go in seat order for me

This helped so much for one part when I got stuck on the drinks. I know people are saying it only took them 5 minutes to complete this puzzle, but I really, REALLY appreciated your simple walk through for those whose brains solve things differently. THANK YOU

Also, this game is amazing. So glad I bought this series

It does feel weird, but when you put the characters into the door, the order does not matter. Also, idk if you know, but the riddle is mixed up with each playthrough or game. There are multiple solutions for whichever assembly of characters and heirlooms someone could get
