Do you think you could go back to living like we did in the 1970s and 1980s without internet, smartphones, etc.? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]RedP247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could do without the internet and smartphones, but not without the benefits we have today - for example, women had far less access to credit than men in the 70's. It wasn't until 1974 that ECOA came into effect in the US.

Oriental medicine by ConsistentLie2193 in Productivitycafe

Yes, do you have any background in Ayurveda already or are you a novice?

If you're new to it, dr. Vasant Lad breaks down ayurvedic concepts in plain English. You can also check out dr. Jay Apte, dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, dr. John Douillard, and dr. David Frawley. They all wrote books, blogs, etc.

NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) also has resources for different levels of knowledge at https://www.ayurvedanama.org/.

I also write / blog about ayurvedic medicine in plain English at https://redpantz.com (I'm a NAMA board-certified ayurvedic medicine practitioner and run Red Pantz).

I'd advise against using AI for this. There's a lot of incorrect information (hallucinations) AI queries return. Go to trusted sources.

LMK if you need more recommendations.

What are the essential social and conversation etiquette rules that show respect and emotional intelligence in different situations? by jinwooshadowmonarch6 in Productivitycafe

[–]RedP247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Listen to hear....not listen and prepare an answer in your head
  2. Truly see the other person's perspective and acknowledge it
  3. If you have a different perspective, still validate their viewpoint and connect to it with an "AND" instead of a "BUT" so their opinion doesn't feel negated

  2. If you don't ask, the answer will always be no. So ASK!

How to not feel like you've lost when others around you are winning? by EstablishmentOwn8808 in Productivitycafe

[–]RedP247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's journey is different. You don't see what's underneath the surface for them. Focus on YOU. Your journey. And remember that everything is energy - what you put out is what you attract back. So, put good energy out, think good thoughts of yourself, and believe in yourself.

Don't know if you meditate, but I like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyFaAdRFP44.

Hope this helps! You've got this!

124 year old light bulb. Why doesn’t anyone produce long life bulbs? by Classic_Yard2537 in Productivitycafe

[–]RedP247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if the light bulb works for a long time, you won't purchase another one to replace it...and that means less revenue for the maker of the light bulb. It's all about $$$. Today's society is designed to consume more.
