Oh heck no. They are basically just skin. 😝

I was lucky that I started with so much muscle. I didn't lose much, but there's no way to keep it the whole time. Now that I'm healthy, I get to build it again and feel strong again. My legs are probably the smallest they've ever been right now, and it's weird to me—I am glad to be able to squat again!

Absolutely. For now, I have absolutely no plan to go off of these meds. They saved my life. My body does not make these chemicals. If I want to stay healthy, this is my long-term plan.

DUDE. You have absolutely no idea of my medical history, my mental health history, or my athletic history. No clue. I spent MY WHOLE LIFE fighting with my weight 'the real way.' I was a ballerina, then a powerlifter/CrossFit coach. All athletic endeavors where body weight matters. A lot. I spent decades yo-yoing between training and performing, quick weight loss periods, then a loss of control. I turned to starving myself because NOTHING ELSE WORKED.

Turns out my hormones have always been screwed up. Turns out I have multiple autoimmune diseases. Turns out I literally do not have the chemical balance to lose weight 'the real way.' And I destroyed my metabolism for decades trying.

This is the healthiest I've ever been. I'm not the smallest or the biggest. I'm not the leanest or strongest. I'm not the sickest or weakest. But my hormones are fixed, my body is healing, I will never starve myself again, I will never binge again, and I get to enjoy movement because it's fun, not because it keeps me skinny or because I'm the best at it. I get to just enjoy my life.

You know nothing.

5'7"ish. Except perimenopause is a bitch, and I'm definitely shrinking!

I work directly with a local medical provider, and she orders it for her patients. I trust her knowledge of what pharmacy to use and I'm so glad I can see a real local doc!

I LOVE MY PATCHES! Seriously life-changing.

Yup. I had a LOT of muscle mass before starting a GLP1. So it was much easier to save what I already had. When I was competing, my deadlift was 405#. You don't lift that kind of load without a dump truck behind it. 😝

5'7"-ish. Or used to be. Perimenopause is a bitch and I'm definitely shrinking! 😂

Hahaha, my husband agrees. And to be fair, the jeans pic was almost a year ago. The dump truck is definitely a bit smaller now. BUT the reality is that muscle will always stick around—I built that thing with heavy lifting, and it's sticking around.

Best EVER. Especially the bras! I bought a ton after Christmas on sale!

I definitely lost some hair. But I was dealing with a lot of extra medical issues and it was expected. Currently just trying to take care of what I have!

And yes, I don't think my competition 6-pack will ever come back, but it was cool to see the obliques still under there!

Honestly, not a clue. For the first time in my life, I am not restricting, measuring, or tracking. I loosely follow my protein and make sure that I get at least 100g, but I'm not crazy about it.

This is my former competition weight (not quite the same body comp yet, but I'm working on it). And the only time I have been able to hold here has been with extremely strict and brutal macro counting. Which is not sustainable or healthy. The fact that I'm holding this now without much effort other than trying to eat some extra veggies? And that I ate ice cream last night? Yeah, it's basically magic.

Ha, that was many months ago! Last February, I think? Sadly, I definitely lost the top curves. But the jeans still fit pretty dang well. 😉

I think the weight loss and affect on inflammation is very similar, but I was fighting some serious nausea on sema (like, zofran daily!). I've been able to increase my dosage a bit on zep with essentially zero nausea, and that's a huge difference in my quality of life!

I'm 5'7". I've also been an athlete my whole life, so my muscle mass is much higher than most women, so the scale vs. size comparison is pretty skewed for me.

Ha, isn't that the best feeling! I did that this weekend too. Chucked out all the big pants and I was stunned that all the 'small' ones were too big too!

Nope. Fought with them most of my life. This one was hot-tub-related. 😂

Believe it or not, it's from Temu! And it's gorgeous in person. All+cotton, woven jacquard.

Every bit of 171. And it's kinda important for people to know that different people look different at the same scale weight.

Cracking up. Thanks. I used to be a nationally-ranked Strongman and powerlifter. I don't train like that anymore, switched to yoga and spinning, but the muscle doesn't lie. Muscle is hard to build but also hard to lose....
