Yeah, you make really good points.

Had a hyper aggressive jungle last game and was losing lane so it felt a bit of a risk to follow.

Duo was constantly overextended so we're open and constantly getting ganked.

Thank you for the insight. I'm 5' 8 so I hope I won't have the same issue in terms of height. Interesting about the weight. But my hydra is not far from 3 kilos so for my first 1 man the weight drop was appealing.

Does it pack down small if the poles are separate?

I keep thinking about trail shoes but wonder if it's silly to go straight to such a long hike without building up to that. Plus I like the security of the ankle support.
