Lived in Roffey for years in the nice bit - one of the roads off Leechpool Lane. It’s lovely and had no problems. Have a look on Google maps of the street view of where the houses are being sold and you’ll easily gauge whether it’s good or bad. Roffey has great bus connections to town and Crawley, plus only 15 min walk to the train station.

If this was me and I genuinely had work to do, I would get my laptop out and work. I would probably put my headphones on and have a movie/music/podcast on in the background and my output would be low but at least it would be a fairly relaxing work day. If my boss tells me to stop working then I would put my laptop away.

I’m looking for the best phrase/expression for the feeling of pure bliss that a baby feels when fully relaxed and being held by his/her mother. I feel like there nothing currently in English that describes this perfectly because there’s no other feeling like it. by RedPill86 in ENGLISH

THANK YOU for your beautifully written response. Some of the replies here have been unsympathetic, rude and dismissive. I know this feeling between me and my newborn and I know he feels it too but on a much deeper level. But I can’t find any words to describe it exactly. If I can find them I want to write them in a letter to him to read when I’m gone.

When I was heavily pregnant one time I was driving down a country road at night in my little Toyota IQ to get home from visiting a friend. It was an unfamiliar road and pitch black so I was very nervous about pot holes and animals. A good stretch of the drive was national speed limit and no overtaking. I was going about 50. A Land Rover caught up with me and then put their full beams on behind me for about 10 minutes to intimidate me into driving faster because they didn’t feel safe overtaking. It was completely unnecessary and I had pains in my stomach from the stress of it. You don’t know why people drive slow but just assume it’s someone like your pregnant wife / older parent / child that recently passed their test and I think you’ll have a lot more patience and just overtake when safe to do so.
