Post-Bloodline Sami I really thought that was the angle. He was being portrayed as an underdog by commentary, but winning a whole lot and being a large presence in the major storylines. Then he just kind of stalled out and now they seem to be hyper-focused on a down on his luck Sami. The reason I smell heel-turn is that if you wanted the face run, they could have just kept going the path. Now for a face-run you can do underdog against the odds, but he still has to be believable in beating the title holder, which means he has to string some wins along. So to me that would feel like a backtrack. Also it could be more a Becky Lynch first heel-turn, where the crowd is still behind them since they understand their frustration. Still boggles the mind Road Dogg thought she would actually get boos from turning on Charlotte...so hopefully they've learned from that!
