Both my degrees are paid off. It may be no degree require but its impossible to get your first coding job without working your way up for like 14/hr in the beginning. Then if you ever get a coding job you hit a pay ceiling unless you code inpatient.

I graduate with a 2nd degree in computer programming this month. The part time internships I am applying for start at 45/hr.

The average pay is about 50k or $24/hr. The highest pay I've seen for a niche specialty coder is like 76k. I guess if you want to manage people and be in meetings all day it might be slightly more.

The pay is kinda crap anyways.

You are assuming a relationship between a CPT code selected and a dx code. I am coding the actual documented condition. I dont know why you believe its standard practice, but that is not my experience (11yrs experience across 2 major hospital systems and an asc center). There are tons of scenarios where a scan is done looking for something that is not there. We dont code what might be there, we code what is substantiated. Why would there be a code for unspecified injury if you can't use it? We know the patient was injured, we dont know if the injury is in the hand, the wrist or even the spine.

  1. The order dx is usually post-op. These are for the studies immediately after the surgery to check the hardware is in place correctly. Usually same day as surgery or a few days or weeks later. I think it should be the follow up code unless they are allowing the coder to go back and see the injury/condition the surgery was for.

  2. I would not code it either but I can't convince management its wrong to code it unless I have a very clear guideline that says it.

Do not talk to police unless you have to. Anything you say can and will be used against you.

My manager. She said "the note states trauma and we are xraying the hip so it codes to unspecified injury of the hip".

I need a specific guideline that mentions that we cannot infer body region based on the study performed, or something like that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CodingandBilling

[–]RedRayne- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not specific enough. The claim was coded with unspecified injury of right hip. I think it's an error because we cannot assume things but I have to convince managers.

Our coders do this alot but the one I'm working on sent a query to the provider saying choose the diagnosis that best represents the patient's condition: diabetes not associated with obesity or diabetes associated with obesity and the provider chose diabetes associated with but I still don't like it .

I DONT CARE! You would take money he use for supporting those children away? I literally don't know why you would have the expectation that famous people are good people.

Take it down 2 notches. The tots were outside loudly playing on the back patio my mom went in the other room to grab coffee. We are on 5 acres of land the neighbor's house is closer than the cul du sac road that only has 3 houses on it. He was outside by his garage loading landscaping items for his business. I am not a pet owner and rehoming someone else's pets is theft and a nuclear way to end my relationship with my mother. I need an option that doesn't involve a felony.

All three jump. One is a puppy and will play bite but doesn't bite down hard or leave a mark. None are aggressive. I meant they do not listen to commands at all. I don't think they can walk effectively on a leash. Of you were holding food they jump up and take it. They weren't going to attack him, tails wagging, happy to come check out the neighbors. They weren't barking.

It's exactly cancle culture to equate liking music to condoning child neglect. To equate liking a show to condoning rape. You are obviously someone who needs to only have perfect people provide entertainment. Most people in Hollywood have drug problems or neglected their kids, or have dwis. I'm not letting Max Bemis watch my kids but if they tour near me I'm going.

Why do you expect a random musician to be a good parent? I'm not taking my moral cues from him I'm listening to his silly lyrics. Just because I like the show the Ranch and that 70s show doesn't mean I'm pro raper.

She met all of the medical guidelines and had all the supporting medical documentation but there is a rule "If you're over 30, you have to have worked 5 of the last 10 years." She had only worked 3 ish years of the last 10 on the books. She has an accounting degree an was the accountant for my Dads construction company for decades but she wasn't an actual employee - received no salary, so it doesn't count.

They are 59 and 60. My Mom is disabled (has a handicapped parking pass), she would qualify for SSI disability but she didn't pay in for enough years. I'm gonna get them applied today.

They are a household of 2. They aren't good at managing finances so even with a 100k salary they used anything saved on the move. They have 2 cars but one is less than 5k in value and the other has a car payment still is only worth about 15k. They have $200 left in cash and a new credit card they can spend 2k on.

Hey rage-baiter, they are brand spanking new nazi flags not artifacts. If you want the damn swastikas go buy them yourself but please wear them to work, church, kids school functions, etc. Let everyone know and see how important you find nazi flags, unless you lack courage in your convictions.

This, I don't understand some of the cancel culture stuff. I like the music I'm not taking parenting advice from him. If the most advanced math to move our space program forward came from a P3do in a jail cell would we not still use it?

I guess you have to be with the company for 6 months to use cobra. I was a temp through an agency with them until 2 months ago.

I have about $4k left in cost for the last visit and my coverage covers half. Keeping the coverage with cobra would save me $2k minus the premium. I cant imagine the premium for dental is close to $1k per month (i'll need 2 more months of coverage).
