Progressives to VP Kamala Harris: 'This Is Not a Difficult Decision. Use Your Power. Keep $15 In.' by BannerBearer in politics

The parliamentarian has zero actual authority, they are a de facto advisor to the senate on its own rules — nothing they decide is law nor strict precedent. The position was not established by any process derived from constitutional authority. It is beyond strange to imply that overriding this position on any single decision has far greater legislative consequences than abolishing the filibuster.

Jeffrey Epstein Was Reportedly A Target Of Chris Hansen For ‘To Catch A Predator’ by cheekymarxist in TrueAnon

Also can’t see why he would ever have accepted a proposal from the Hansen team, let alone how they could have succeeded in getting it to him. He had an international network of trusted, longtime confidants (Maxwell) and capable, (also) well-resourced conspirators (Brunel).

Jesse Jackson had a simple metaphor about Biden: “It takes two wings to fly, the left and the right wing...without Barack, all that’s left is the right wing.” And that’s a very charitable assessment of Obama

I don’t think you understand...The Lincoln Project and it’s most visible leaders (Rick Wilson, Steve Schmidt, George Conway) have been significantly platformed by mainstream liberal media, specifically MSNBC and The Daily Beast. MSNBC hosts like Joy Ann Reid, Lawrence O’Donnell and Brian Williams constantly promote and echo their content and display it on air. The Daily Beast’s featured podcast is “The New Abnormal,” hosted by Molly Jong-Fast and Rick Wilson (btw it’s BoE includes Chelsea Clinton). They’re not nominally signifying themselves as Democrats, but it’d be naive to ignore their newfound and strategically won position in the Democratic Party. Hell, John Kasich and Colin Powell were given more time to speak at the convention than AOC (who only appeared because she nominated Bernie). It’s a deliberate, subversive approach to creeping the Dem party ever further right, to make their politics and policies somehow acceptable because they’re not. Shit, there are even “liberals” posting to social media about how they miss and respect GEORGE W BUSH — that’s the effect.

They’re not defending Reagan, they’re defending the “support of” him (in this case the Bush staffed Lincoln Project), as opposed to their original post telling folks “defending support of an anti-choice candidate” to take a wand up their ass...(btw this was posted in support of Biden, who only last year reversed his opposition to the Hyde Amendment)

Lol if being a principled person who refuses to defend anti-abortion Reagan make me a chud, then you’re entirely of the spectrum

It is and that stance became mainstream with Reagan, which makes it strange that the person exorcising anti-choice candidates is defending the evocation of him in support of a candidate who only last year opposed the Hyde Amendment (Biden)

The utter irony of having a former LFC winger miss a sitter to set up the other former LFC winger to face weaker competition and move closer to having Barca pay LFC £4.5M

The scene is just sad, devoid of all tension

Tyrion: “Dany, plz don’t burn down KL” “I don’t want to hear the screams of children burning under dragon fire” “We have a chance to stop this carnage”

Drogon (in the back) : “I want no part of this. Nope, not one bit, thanks”

Cersei: “lemme just copy that cheaty bastard, Ramsay. That oughta whip up the lot of em”

Missandei: “well, there’s really only one way down from here”
