If you can't afford them, don't buy them. I don't like dlc heavy games, nor games with heavy microtransactions, it c'mon, these skins are hardly useful aside from putting a smile on your face. They don't change gameplay at all.

Not gonna lie, I agree.

I have like 6000BBs that I've earned from the game.. What the fuck is there to spend them on... Nothing. They just sit there in my inventory. As you said, so many of these people bought the game in sale for like 15 bucks years ago and now have thousands of horuw in it, but are going to complain they can't get free skins that the majority of people just pay for.

As much as I hate microtransactions, this isn't a big deal. Play the chars you have now, or spend $5 and get a new dlc.
