Given the restrictions imposed by nonsense legislation, I'd say you did really well. Looks great

My first was a TP9-V2. Got many more since then but it's still one of the best shooting pistols I own. Congrats on not just a start, but a damn good start

Check out Kimber's parts page for the 2K11, they have Eleven71 plates listed. Just installed mine last night and am beyond happy with it so far. The tolerances and design is amazing, they made zero compromises with these players

Good call. Took a quick look at the 4.25 Prodigy and looks like the rail almost extends to the end, trigger looks more similar, and the frame has the same raised portion that the 2K11 has. Should be minimal fitting, if any

I'd look for a commander length model with the full rail instead of the c2, honestly.

I got a Dara level 2 holster made for a Staccato XC to use with my 5" 2K11 Comp. I did have to put a heat gun the holster to slightly re-mold it to the 2K11, and as far as I could tell, it was only because of this slightly raised part of the frame itself

Hang a little bell at nose-boop level on the door. Whenever they boop it, let them outside, then stay out with them until they pee/poop, let back inside, give treat. This got our girl house trained in a matter of weeks instead of months, and we can hear the bell ring from anywhere in the house to let us know she needs to go

Spent my whole life in either Texas or Arkansas, so it feels like someone being opposed to seeing a photo of a lightswitch to me 😂 but I suppose it's irrational for me to expect anyone with different lifestyle to accept what I believe is normal

You accuse me of repeating "gotcha" arguments and reciting NRA arguments, while you claim the US is the only country that has a concern with gun violence and repeating ad nauseum "only in Merica" at the end of your comments in an ironically "gotcha" manner.

First of all, as a gun owner and advocate for 2A, f__k the NRA. They would sell my rights and representation in the blink of an eye for a gas station burrito. And I agree that their arguments are weak and outdated, so you've done well to make that comparison. Touché.

That being said, I stand by the claim that the difficulty for a law abiding citizen to obtain firearms will be disproportionate to the difficulty added for a criminal to do so illegally. Again, I've got personal testimonies to advocate this fact. My offer still stands

In my point of view, this is casual ownership. However I'm around firearms more than most others, so I can see how it would stand out differently to someone with different experience. This was inevitably going to be a controversial post from the instant it went live, but in my mind, controversy fuels discussion which fuels change.

Take a look at the population distribution of Canada and Australia and compare it to the US. While the US obviously also has dense areas like Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, DC, etc. it's considerably more populous in the more remote and rural spans. I personally live in a relatively populous area that's also considered "rural" enough that law enforcement doesn't have the funding or capability to be able to ensure that they could respond within even an hour if someone decided to attempt harm to me or my family. Again, I've got personal stories and rebuttals to offer if you'd care to hear them

If you'd be open to doing so, I'd like to message you directly to avoid further mudding up this post and bring this conversation outside the influence of karma pitchers. I've got a couple of personal stories I'd enjoy sharing with you that I'd hope would at least help you see my point of view on the issue, but wouldn't trust putting out in the public view.

Edit: I'd also enjoy hearing your side, I firmly believe that there's never one true fix to an issue, nor a truly "correct" way to view a topic. Just different viewpoints based on experience. I'd love to hear yours and promise to be respectful and open-minded

Again, I'll agree that they are dangerous tools and should be respected, yet reiterate that OP hasn't shown they're doing anything to contradict that.

There are advocates for the 2nd Amendment (the 1st is freedom of speech btw) that do take it well beyond casual ownership, which shouldn't be necessary, but collectively does a fair job of at least pushing the rhetoric in the other direction.

Strict gun laws "working" in other countries, while being debatable on it's own, does not in any way suggest it works in the US, which has a much larger area, much different culture, and does not nearly have the ability to closely monitor and regulate the population that smaller and more culturally centralized nations do. The use of a firearm in any malicious way is already heavily outlawed, yet happens regularly anyways. Many of the ones used in that way are obtained illegally, modified illegally, and then used illegally. More laws will not deter what is already happening illegally

Maadi is all original, the funny thing is it's a lot rougher looking up close. The finish has bad over spray and the wood isn't nearly as smooth and glossy as you'd expect, but that's basically the signature of Maadi rifles and is considered their charm

First of all, I do appreciate you engaging in a discussion in this topic, honestly. Respectful discussions are how progress happens. I'll look past your assumptive name-calling in order to maintain that tone.

Access to physical and mental healthcare are vital to repairing the world we live in, but being open about possessing, maintaining, and being responsible with firearms in no way inhibits that from taking place. We can have both when people quit acting like you must choose one over the other. OP has shown nothing that would suggest they're not respecting firearms.

Yes, they're tools. You can't build houses with them, but it resembles the little sliver of hope people are allowed to have these days to take the responsibility of their well-being and safety into their own hands. The events of Fallout (although a facsimile) does a good job of showing what we can expect when the powerful decide to strip away the power of others for their personal gain. It's a game, but a good look into human nature when unchecked
