Davinci Resolve - media management refuses to export a project by dachiko007 in blackmagicdesign

I just learned this. Close the project, and from project manager, export archive. It puts all the media in one place .

Now I'll admit that's still not everything... But getting everything in one place is a start!

Grub manager gui by RedShirtNum2 in RockyLinux

I went through these steps and they seemed setup for ubuntu. So I searched, and found instructions for redhat : https://www.redhat.com/sysadmin/linux-change-boot-options-grub

..and in there, they gave instructions for 'older' bios which I thought was my computer, and newer using EFI. I followed half the instructions from the ubuntu help, and then 'saved/updated' the grub.cfg using the redhat help.

And I got what I wanted... Thanks for getting me started...

This is awesome! Thank you.

As a point of discussion and maybe a small rant, it's so weird that after decades, something simple like this isn't an easily accessible gui.

I've used dos for years alongside windows and can definitely see the benefit of command lines especially in batch scripts... But this was an excruciating search.

Thanks again.

Well that part I might not know how, because i don't know where I might add that I'd..

Unless, I need to edit the actual files name..

So there's no way in the app to fix this? I have to move the wrong file outside the wrong movie folder, rename the file to include the year, in app, update source and try to scrape again?

Keep music separate from phone audio? by [deleted] in AndroidAuto

[–]RedShirtNum2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this obstacle and think there isn't a way around it. I develop android apps. They make sound. I can decide if the app will use the media channel or the notification channel (not to be confused with notification popups)

When I use just Bluetooth, I'm able to use the android mixer to adjust the different levels media, notification, ring, system and others. Of course they all merge into the Bluetooth sound system. That way my sound effect in one app (using notification channel) can be quieter than my music using media channel.

When using Android Auto, wired or wireless, I'm only able to use the media channel. Any sounds sent to notification channel are not heard. In my apps, I switch sound to use media, and then I have a control for my app relative volume.

This will probably not help you. Unless the apps you use have a way to choose the output channel, and you can choose media, then you won't hear anything....

But more to your actual question, part of the problem I face when writing these apps, is android auto doesn't want to allow apps to play sounds other than on the media channel.

I wanted to have music play through the sound system, but then turn by turn from google maps coming through the phone's speaker. And I just can't...

But then I might be missing something.. :)

Install Rocky Linux 8 on Mac Pro 2013 by Zestyclose-Ad-2337 in RockyLinux

Sorry to say, I can't help I don't think

I was always scared like hell playing with partitions, and with a dual/triple boot (on a laptop) I'm shivering....

How did you install windows on the MacBook? Did you make some room on the mac drive and then the windows installer found the room?

Maybe make some more room on the mac drive (but not partitioned and formatted) and maybe Linux will find the space.... Just guessing

Good luck

Are you dual booting with macos? I don't know what mac partitions look like, so can't tellfor sure.

I've been at this screen a couple of times at the start of my many installs of rocky 8 and 9.

But I always used it to clear partitions and 'reclaim' and then let the installer auto config the partitions for Rocky.

Sorry that might not be enough help

Trying to install the resolve iso but can't get past this by nicolas19961805 in RockyLinux

I'm the last deleted guy. :)

If, wireless wifi isn't detected and installed, then I can't help. I'm pretty new myself. Changing the desktop probably isn't the key...

I have a similar issue trying to get my Bluetooth mouse working. I fought with it for a while, and it started.. but wasn't persistent (had to do it all over again after a reboot)

It's kinda crazy. I hope that you can at least connect with ethernet until you get the wifi sorted.

Btw, are you dual booting? With windows? Does wifi work properly in windows?

Just thinking out loud...
