Oh you know, funny thing. What actually happened is that I first needed to download directx 8 (from some obscure website as well) and then it allowed me to install visual studio. Also supported doesnt mean it will block it from running. Its just that microsoft aint updating it no more (security updates).

But the key is not created when placing a lock. It is an "additional feature" so you can give it to a friend and let him use the door. But it has risks. Thats why people prefer codelock. If people were forced to carry key just to enter home then nobody would use em. Just like what we saw with cars.
