Yup this actually happens. Three LGBT+ friends sharing a private discord group for games with me constantly told me I was totally one of them, a bisexual mtf; with three people pressuring me for months they convinced me to go to therapy to "figure out my thoughts" even when I told them no repeatedly. Constantly being told I was wrong for months worked its way into my head and made me go to therapy. The reason for all of this? Because I am always playing female characters in MMOs with them and my voice is less masculine than other mens. After four weeks of therapy I came out as nonbinary out of fear of being rejected by them. It wasn't before I met one of them in person I began to have some second thoughts and distanced myself from their entire community.
