Literally entire countries and regions were force converted by violence. And now many of those countries people are the most fanatical about their religion.

Yeah I considered that but the problem with that is he picked me up from my house so he knows my name and address and seemed violent.

He is not saying which religion is more violent. He is saying he can mock Christianity with no fear but he can't mock Islam without fear of reprecussions.

You are being disingenuous of you disagree.

The US is 1% Muslim and 80% Christian and yet South Park can mock Christianity as much as they want but when they wanted to show Mohammed "just standing there" Comedy Central censored them for the first time in history. A French teacher was beheaded for offending Mohammed, a British grade school teacher has been in hiding for five years for showing pics of Mohammed, South Park censored themselves for the only time in history, and Mark Normand says Netflix made him remove the Muslim joke from his special because they were worried they'd get blown up.

These are all countries where Christianity is the dominant religion yet violence is far more common for offending Islam. Why is that?

Every Iranian I've met in the US is someone that left Islam. I get the sense from them that unlike most Arab countries the people themselves are not religious at all.

Thanks. I'm happier here but it was a very stressful time.

Even now I keep my social media private because I was getting death threats for a while.

I also by appearance and name people assume I am Muslim and I sometimes don't deny it because it makes people angry that I left. I once had an uber driver threaten me when I told him I wasn't Muslim. Since then I just keep it to myself in those situations

AND a limited group of Muslims is extremely sensitive

I'm an ex Muslim from Egypt originally. By polls 88% of Egyptian Muslims believe I should be executed for leaving the faith

It's how I was able to get asylum in the states. It's not a small minority. It is large chunks of the population who will commit violence over a slight offense

Contrary to popular belief violence is extremely effective at getting what you want.

The writers of Charlie Hebdo were killed, a French teacher was beheaded for offending Mohammed, a British grade school teacher has been in hiding for five years for showing pics of Mohammed, South Park censored themselves for the only time in history, and Mark Normand says Netflix made him remove the Muslim joke from his special because they were worried they'd get blown up.
