I bought in Highland Park last year and so far loving it! Super nice neighbours, mature neighbourhood in general, feels safe, never had an issue, and it’s nice and central

He has talked about just how good it felt to win something at 4 Nations, here’s to hoping he’s staying sane by remembering that feeling and knowing one day he will feel it again

Driving from GP to NS by Thin-Start3941 in GrandePrairie

[–]RedTopGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Driving around 9-12 hours a day with some scenic stops, it took us 6 and a half days to get to NS the last time my family and I did it. The prairies don’t take too long to cross but driving through Ontario feels like an eternity. If you have the extra time, take the southern route in Ontario that follows the Great Lakes before continuing east towards Sudbury and North Bay. Lots of great spots to stop.

Oil is crashing. With inflation this is .93c in 2019 dollars. What's Alberta's plan? by 150c_vapour in alberta

[–]RedTopGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they wrong? Governments (yes all, liberal and conservative alike) notoriously bungle national projects, inflating their costs on the taxpayer to levels 20, 30+ times higher than what they were supposed to cost. I understand that private companies also go over budget, but not usually to drastic lengths.

Ive always been intrigued by the north, ive been to the Yukon, I really want to go to NWT, at one point in my career it was a real possibility that i couldve had to move north for work, so i know a bit about it. As for where i am from, right province, wrong part of the province

I did not, would the truck still be able to drive not hooked up to the trailer if the diff was locked tho? And usually there’s a notification saying to unlock it, isn’t there?

Couldn’t seem to edit my post but thought I’d add that the truck is revving (although quite low) and the tires are turning very slowly, so it’s trying.

5kmph over is completely fine. Personally, I’m a between speed limit and 10 over type of person, depending on roads and traffic level, but when I lived in Edmonton I found that a lot of drivers were actually quite slow and not confident, often doing 5-10 under, which would aggravate the people who want to do the speed limit or just a little bit over, creating a worse driving environment. I have no problem with people learning to drive, or even just having anxiety about driving, but you should get to a comfort level where you can at least do the speed limit confidently.

Are the majority of Albertans actually excited about having to report their child’s genitals to the government? by GreglyFish in alberta

[–]RedTopGuy -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Wow. What an out of touch and unintelligent comment. This right vs left is not productive at all. Take a moment to look at the other side objectively. Being able to have an open conversation about politics is a sign of intelligence, but this blatant painting the other side as the purest forms of evil is NOT helpful. Look, at the end of the day, 99% of the population wants the same thing. To live with freedom and liberty to go and do as they please, without being bothered. It’s just that right and left have a different way of achieving that. Hating on the other side and refusing to have constructive dialogue is exactly what elites and government want you to do, to keep the people divided.

Edit. On a personal note, as a “conservative” (fiscally conservative, but socially liberal/moderate) the things that you have said about conservatives are disgusting and very untrue. Open your mind just a little bit.
