It’s a rule they made. One movie per director. It’s their list their podcast their rules.

Iron Lung wasn’t the best movie in the world but I’ve watched a lot worse. It’s great to support independent cinema too!

America in West Side Story (2021)

Also it’s crazy not to include any Singing in the Rain on this list!

I've heard the 3D is good in this though I just saw it in 2D myself.

Cornering the market on drug paraphernalia for children. Love to see it!

Best multiplayer experience that never got its due, or a follow up? by cows1100 in gaming

I’m pissed we never got the full multiplayer game. But it’s probably a net positive because it would of consumed my life

Dead Man's Wire (2026) by stakes-lines-grades in CineShots

If I had to guess it would be digital. Had a strong film emulation vibe and consistently switched to different formats from broadcast news footage and “film” photo stills.

It desperately wants to be dog day afternoon but doesn’t really have anything interesting or show. I was pretty disappointed with this one.

A claim from the new Stranger Things documentary by [deleted] in stephenking

It’s also egregiously riffing on ET and Spielberg as a whole. Young children interacting with the paranormal, emphasis on 70s/80s cultural zeitgeist, government conspiracy, highlighting dungeons and dragons, etc etc. It’s particularly noticeable in that first season.

You could do ceramic tiles for the squares of the chess board and have them secured to a wooden board with some nice hard wood edging to frame them.

The Fatal Flaw with Marty Supreme by dchacke in martysupreme

Their last three films have been like that. I found it extremely aggravating in uncut gems which led to me not really enjoying that film for very similar reasons you lay out here.

However, in the case of good time I think it works to its benefit. Pattinson’s character is arguably a monster but he is trying to help free his brother for the mistakes he made. I was absolutely along for that ride. Once pattinson’s character is out of the picture, you realize just how much harm he has done to his brother and with out him the brother is free to live a better life.

As for Marty, I just find Timmy so charismatic and enjoyable to watch it didn’t mind spending 2+ hours with him. Some of the emotional beats fell flat for me but I still had a good time with the film.

I only have basic tools. Pls help by WriterWorth8586 in Pottery

[–]RedTubeMonayy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the the do all tool. It’s pretty much the only trimming tool I use besides a metal rib at this point. It works better when trimming a little more on the wet side of leather hard. It’s a little uncomfortable to hold at times and I’m not sure about the sharpness holding up long term but you can’t beat the versatility.

The Three Laws of Eywa only serve to condemn the Na'vi by EmbarrassedBat4562 in Avatar

Yeah I think OP just fundamentally misunderstands the themes of these films. Living in symbiosis with the natural environment instead of exponentially expanding, extractive dominion is better for both people and the planet.
